We had a great time with the hydro bikes. Robert was great. We really enjoyed our time on the lake riding the bikes. It was a lot of fun, and I would recommend this activity when visiting.

The most enjoyable way to see Charleston from the water! I love to kayak and SUP, but Hydrobikes are hands down the best of all three! Robert, the owner, took us out on the water after a brief safety lesson and his love for being out on the water is evident. He pointed out dolphins and took us to see Crab Bank Island, which is an active seabird nesting site, where we saw thousands of birds and their babies. Even saw one learning to fly! The best thing about the hydrobikes is that they are impossible to tip over and great for all ages. I have been trying to get my parents out on the water unsuccessfully for years, but I know the hydrobikes will be easy enough for them so I am looking forward to bringing them back!

I don't know where to start. We saw these hydrobikes from one of the restaurants on Shem Creek and then saw a special on rentals and had to try this. I am a local and avid kayaker and know the area well. Scott gave us a little intro and instruction and sent us on our way. When we were waiting for the others, we had asked if anyone had spotted manatees and the answer was not yet. We pedaled out towards the harbor behind a pod of dolphins. These bikes produce no noise and then we saw it...a snout and no fins..we pedaled closer and there they were 2 amazing manatees swimming close to shore in a shallow area. We were the perfect height off the water to be able to see them underwater. The hydrobikes are easy to maneuver and great for any age. We relaxed and watched the wildlife and then got some exercise by racing back. I loved this and would do it everyday if I didn't have a job!
