I believe this place is now closed to the public. After we drove for 1 1/2 hours on Sunday July 24 2022, we arrived at 11 am the website said they were open but the sign stated this property is private property and trespassing is not permitted.

Beautiful scenery, 10/10 recommend. Probably strange times and hours with COVID but I recommend calling before, I think they’re open to the public on weekends. Wonderful experience. Please make an effort to check when they’re open before leaving a bad review, I wish nothing but the best for this place and hope they get the donations and volunteer work they require to upkeep the lands.

WHAT DOES IT MEAN TO BE A PART OF SOMETHING BIGGER THAN YOURSELF? A day at the monastery would give you an insight into this inquiry. We came to visit to see the different buddhas. We never expected to be completely immersed in its peace and tranquility. A future shrine is in the works. When offered an opportunity to be a part of its beginnings, we resolved to abandon our day's itinerary. We were blessed to purposely take a pause and take in the beauty of what is and what is to come . It is undeniably one of the greatest spiritual experiences I've ever had. We are looking forward to our next visit.
There will be a celebration related to the Dalai Lama on Sept 29, 2019. If you want to be involved in the festivities, we were told to be there at 0930.

This is a very special spot. Wandering amongst the statues and finding the shrines along the way is a terrific way to spend your day, no matter your faith. The monks are most kind and helpful.

I went to the Monastery twice, once on a Saturday and then a Sunday. Both times the gates were locked closed. When you call them no one answers the phone. Disappointing to say the least.

This is an awesome place to visit! It is Beautiful, Peaceful and relaxing! I would suggest taking plenty of bottled water, maybe even a picnic. It took us around 3 hours and that was including meeting a monk and having several conversations with people their. We also took part in a Buddhist prayer/incense offering! Very educational. Please respect the monks and workers! Don't leave trash! Don't be loud! No photos or videos of the monks or people working there! Take your family and enjoy the day! Saturdays and Sundays 10 am until 5 pm.

We went to the temple after a friend of my wifes suggested it, we spent about three hours walking the grounds, it was very peaceful. Enjoyed our visit. Make sure you allow yourself lots of time to tour the grounds. There really isn't an a entry fee, It's on a donation basis.
