The part of the pub we sat in was cold and really needed decorating. But on s positive note Sunday dinner was good but would have been better if the food was served on warm plates and not cold and slightly larger portion size.

Just had Sunday lunch for £8.50 oh my it was amazing can’t recommend it enough the food of which there was plenty freshly cooked and tastes delicious would highly recommend the food and atmosphere

We really want to see this place succeed as the new people are really nice and have done a lot to try and make it appealing. All-day coffee and cake is a great idea and the flowering plants outside look great.
We're in the middle of a global pandemic and the White Lion has all the right signs up about social distancing, sanitising and wearing masks......if only the staff complied with their own signs rather than wandering around maskless.
It all seems a bit sloppy and lacking in biosecurity, and feels like they don't really understand the issues. Whatever the PM says infections are out of control and escalating, so it would be good if we could try not to add to the problem here.
And the coffee is getting weaker, and there's no milk alternative.
We really want to carry on supporting this place. We live locally and will keep visiting for a while to see if the White Lion sharpens up its act a bit. Here's hoping.

Food is always excellent and the staff are fantastic.
Since taking over the landlord and landlady have made Ye Olde WhiteLion a great place to spend some quality time.
Can’t wait for the 12th when they open again!

Very friendly and welcoming new owners. We had a beautifully cooked roast pork Sunday lunch with apple sauce and an array of vegetables cooked to perfection...all followed by homemade fruit crumble and custard. Delicious! This was their first Sunday lunch since opening...and it’s all looking very promising.
Lovely to see that they are also open in the mornings for coffee and cake. This is just what Bradninch needs. Thank you...and Good luck with the venture.

Since the new owners took over, I’ve been in with various family members for coffee and cake, drinks, dinner, and a Sunday roast. There have been the expected teething problems of new owners, but all handled satisfactorily and with good grace. Today’s roast really pushed them into 5* territory, though. Bradninch has long lacked a place that does decent food and is open all day and I welcome the changes with open arms! I can not recommend it enough. The only suggestion I would have would be a broader wine selection. Hopefully that’s on their to do list!

A below average shabby pub lost in the 1970's when cackling humour from bad breathed drunks was considered fun. In this millennium, rather dim oiks using foul language and making racist and mysogenistic remarks is simply condidered ignorant. And worst when the management tolerate it because they are too amateur and unimaginative to attract a better clientele. If you have any class,avoid this dump.

This is a wonderful family run pub in one of the friendliest villages in the country. During the annual music festival the pub rises to the occasion and hosts a great outdoor stage, bar and BBQ. The Sunday roast is just great - and you order it direct from the kitchen! A little gem of a pub. I wish there were more like it.

Friendly pub with good local atmosphere all pub games and live music on occasions. Always a selection of real ales and ciders in addition to usual spirits lagers etc.
