B&C Art Museum is one of my favorite places to frequently vsit. It's 2 floors with 3 galleries. They also offer art workshops, esp for kids. Its free and has limited but adequate parking. The gallery exhibits change ever few months and rarely together, so if one gallery is closed, others will be open. And they bring in lots of local, as well as national exhibits. It's just a wonderful place to walk around or sit in the galleries and enjoy the art of many different kinds of mediums and styles. You will be happy you went, and will want to continue to go back.

This place was free and so fun to be at. The ladies there were so friendly and helpful. We could have spent more time there, but we ran out of items to see. We even got to meet one of the artists.

It seems like a nice art museum, but did not enjoy the exhibit on display when we went. It was called The World of Frieda. The art was bizarre to say the least. Most pictures were of the same woman and some were very creepy and demented looking with her head on a dog's body or a skeleton with organs exposed. The staff was nice, but I would wait until the exhibit changes.

When we travel I usually look for art galleries to visit. I find this one, noted it was free and in a historical beach home and knew we had to visit. Currently they are hosting a Frida Kahlo exhibit and it is quite well done. You can view all the artists statements on your phone. The exhibit is really quite wonderful. Location has free parking, handicapped accessible, with clean restrooms and a nice small gift shop. A free will offering is accepted but there is no pressure. Staff is very friendly. Make sure you sign their guest book.

Free parking and free admission. ( donations optional) We were there with our 10 and 13 year olds to see The World of Frida exhibit. A scavenger hunt sheet was given to our 10 y o to add to the experience. Turns out it was Frida’s birthday the day before our visit and the girls were given treat cups on our way out the door. Wonderful little place to spend some time. Would definitely return if we visit MB again.

After reading about this art museum, I was eager to visit. The current exhibit is a collection of artists from all over with works about Frida Kahlo. Very interesting. Each work has an artist’s statement which can be downloaded or they have a couple of notebooks with the statements printed out. The personnel were welcoming. Best yet, the museum is free accepts donations. This is cultural gem in Myrtle Beach. Allow at least an hour to explore. They also have a small, but very nice gift shop.

Small, free art museum. Right off the beach area. Free parking. A wonderful way to get out of the sun and throw a little culture into a beach visit.

Enjoyable morning to walk through the exhibit. Small gift shop. When we went, there were local student displays which we were encouraged to vote on. All the art was interesting. Helpful staff, elevators and large rooms to explore.

Each time we’ve come to Myrtle Beach we’ve visited this fine museum. It’s free and worth more than the suggested $5 donation per person. This time, the feature was on two juried shows: one for area professionals and one for area high school students. This made for widely diverse art in a variety of media. Although there is some obvious weather damage on the ocean side of the building’s exterior, the interior is very well maintained. I highly recommend this Myrtle Beach attraction.

No pavilion, but the lovely enclosed tea porch and the adjoining exhibit room would make a nice venue. Although there would be no room for seating to speak of. They also have a large lawn that might be used for a performance. There is a calendar on their website.
