The beautiful Dignity Sculpture is at mile marker 264.4 at the I-90 rest area. She’s made of stainless steel and is 50 ft. tall, 32 ft. wide and 27,000 pounds. Definitely worth a stop to admire her!

This is an amazing, beautiful statue! Easier to get there when driving east. At a rest stop. The area is very clean & nice with indoor bathrooms. Place for walking dogs.
Also an educational visitor's center. There was currently construction behind the statue. Tables to have a snack by the statue. Wonderful view of the Missouri River. We saw it in the daylight in nice fall weather.

We stopped here late in the afternoon. This is a beautiful statue. Terrific view of the Missouri River by Chamberlain. Amazing architecture.

Awaited many years to finally make the trip to see her. It was worth every mile! She is magnificent and equally as lovely in the day or night. Everyone should make the stop if traveling, such a fine representation of Native women. This was a gift to be there.

This was our second time to Dignity. It's about halfway across South Dakota from Sioux Falls to Rapid City. It's always worth a stop. There are restrooms and a visitor's center available and excellent view of the Missouri River where it's clean and beautiful. The sculpture is gorgeous and offers great photo ops. There are walking trails, but they do warn to watch for poisonous snakes. So be aware.

I love this exhibit! She is so majestic! I was there for the Full moon. I was hoping to get the rising of the moon, but it had already passed over her. Still got some pretty awesome shots! Then decided to hang out till Sunrise. I had three dogs with me so it was really great that Dignity is at a rest stop! Not many landmarks are so dog friendly! The Sunrise was spectacular! Not many people can say they spent the night with such a magnificent woman!

Beautiful statue and view of the area. Nice quick picture stop. Can have a bit of traffic there but people seem to move in and out quickly.

The first time seeing this was in 2017 and did not know how to get to it, but wanted to stop and see it, and was able to now in 2024. This is located just next rest area (The Chamberlain Rest Area). It was nice and sunny so seeing it on a nice day shows the blue and silver colors wonderfully. Yes, this is tall, about 50 feet or so. So take a quit break and see this.

Hi,
We're considering a drive up the Native American scenic byway as part of our driving holiday. Has anyone done this? Is it worth travelling for a day to get to Chamberlain to start it?. Thanks for your help, in advance. Piere

Have done it three times. Beautiful country. Plenty to see. Wildlife every time we went.
