“Way better than rated!!”

The cave is stunning, out guide Shawn was very knowledgeable and well prepared.
The road to the cave is a bit difficult but worth it.

Cave was neat, tour guide ruins it

My family and I were excited to get to experience a cave for the first time. It was really overpriced but we were still excited. Then they just kept adding people to the tour and we ended up being packed in a claustrophobic area with like 30 people. We tried to enjoy it but the tour guide made it really hard to have fun. There was a blonde with her boyfriend in the group and he was way more focused on trying to flirt with her and show off rather than giving the tour. It made my husband and I cringe and our kids uncomfortable. We wanted to remember a beautiful cave and now all we remember is that embarrassment.

Unexpected cave "kisses"

We especially liked seeing the crystals. Guide Sean was both entertaining and informative, particularly about the CCC Camp history and the cave's excavation. Enjoyable for all ages. Waiting for a cave "kiss" made the exploration fun.

Definitely worth the drive

This was definitely worth the drive up there I was able to take my service dog with his help I was able to do all the steps there was a lot of steps. It was very wet in the caves because the water drips down from the ceiling. I didn’t get soaked or anything it’s just the floor is very wet. It’s definitely a must see My tour guide was amazing. The history was outstanding

We had a great time! Shawn was a SUPER guide. Very punny dude. ;). Note it's not a big cavern, it's a cave. Smaller, but really interesting formations and rare crystals. Worth a stop!

Wonderland cave tour

We had an absolutely awesome experience with our tour. We were in the area attending the Sturgis rally. The only downside was unavoidable, the gravel road because motorcycles don't typically do as well as cars on loose surfaces.

Sean was our tour guide, he shared some history of the venue. He added stories that made the tour fun. I suspect that some may be urban legend... but I'm not going to research it because the personal touch made us smile!

Thanks Wonderland Caves and Sean.... keep up the great job!

Intersting Cave near Rapid City.

Wonderland Cave isn't the biggest or most spectacular cave, but it is still very interesting. There is quite a variety of different formations in the cave, and the tour is long enough to make it interesting. There is quite a long and steep staircase to enter and leave the cave, so some people may have some difficulties. If you don't want to take the longer drive out to the national park caves, Wonderland is a good alternative.

Great cave tour

Great cave tour of a living cave. Kids can do this tour. The drive up to the cave was a bit scary for people who don't like heights.

Great explanation experience for family! It was a nice adventure for about 45 minutes. Be sure you can walk up and down lots of stairs.

Awesome to see a cave still alive and active! Our tour guide was wonderful and made things fun and was very interactive with our 8 year old child. We were going to check out the other two caves near Hot Springs, but they were both booked. So glad because I think we got to see and do more at Wonderland Cave. The group was smaller and as soon as we arrived they came to us and said "Hey, if you want we can get you and your family in now otherwise you will have to wait for the next tour about 30 minutes".....we got in. So gracious they waited for us!
