This is a great place packed with a wide range of old cars, larger vans and lorries as well as a variety of other forms of transport. There is a section now devoted to old organs, some being restored. In a sense, having an interest in vintage cars etc, made it even more interesting. Open Tuesdays and Fridays (clearly stated on their website) it is well worth a visit and we spent about 3hrs ther

Looked at opening times with a view to visit while in jersey as I’m a great car enthusiast. Got the bus in St Helier No: 5 at 10.30 as the times on the website said now open 10 - 5. Monday to Friday. Guess what ? Closed !! Try calling to your number on the website which was not recognized 😤. Complete morning wasted on bad information. Very disappointed Chris and Sue.

You dont have to be a vintage vehicle enthusiast to enjoy a walk around this museum, we actually run a Steam and Vintage Rally, so for us we enjoyed seeing some of the vehicles that are clearly still exhibited at events on the Island. This is a family collection ranging from trains and steam engines, to cars, prams and toys, a nostalgic trip back in time, well displayed.
If I had to be nit picky, the car park could do with a tidy round, they have exhibits out there that have become overgrown and as the first impression when you arrive it looks a bit neglected……also with the train track, sadly it appears no longer usable but it could be tidied up a little…and the cafe which is located perfectly on the station platform appears to be closed. Small points that could have really improved the overall visitor experience and the only reason why I didnt give 5 stars.

Well worth every penny so much history and brought back so many memories. Lots to see from baby prams to steam rollers. Fabulous cars, organs & so much more. The best couple of hours we have spent.

Absolutely brilliant collection of nostalgia vehicles/memorabilia. All in fantastic condition. We went for my husband really but I was equally impressed at the stock & certainly the way it was all preserved & displayed.

We really enjoyed it here as there is so much to see. There are some ver interesting displays. The museum is a short walk from the bus stop but check which days it is open before you set off to go.

This pace is a must see on any visit to the Island and has a great deal to offer anyone with an interest in social history. From vehicles to machinery, from household items to trains there is something for everyone. Just don't expect a place where children can rush around and jump on displays; this is a place that rewards careful study and taking time to see what we have lost in the main from our rushed and throwaway society. The car displays had many vehicle types that I have owned in the past which brought home how so many modern cars are very similar to each other now. Take your time to take in the myriad of displays, written information and smells from a recent past and you will get a huge amount out of a visit here. Highly recommended.

A wonderful range of exhibits here, all in the most stunning condition. Many are used in steam fairs on & off Jersey. From trains, tractors, cars & lorries through to steam organs and household paraphernalia. A real trip down memory Lane. Made us stop & realise how much we have lost in today’s ‘instant’ society.

Be prepared to take your time if you want to get the best from this experience because there is a lot to see. While there are things to do for children and things to share as a family, this is primarily a traditional museum with a very large number and variety of exhibits. There is plenty of information to soak up and the staff are friendly and helpful. I have been on an event day when there was steam threshing but also on quiet days in the middle of the week and enjoyed both. Even when the steam train is not running there is usually something in steam so you can get the smell.

The Pallot Museum is above St Helier between the A9 and the A8. If you look at the liberty bus website they have really good information about the buses.
Looks to me that you need the bus stop code 2382 on Le Grande Route de St-Jean (A8) which runs up from St Helier.

Is it all inside
Yes, great for a rainy or overcast day. Obviously the train platform isn't but I seem to think it has cover except on the side by the train. Train runs on Thursday only and you pay a little extra (to be honest it was all very good value), Museum is on two levels.
