Apparently there has been some form of bridge in place for aeons. I agree with the above comment.... probably 13th or 14th century for the stones there now. And some times the stones were washed away by bad storms and floods and then put back in place. We need someone who lives near these to give a more detailed and more accurate commentary though. The area of the clapper bridge is truly beautiful and there are paths where you can take walks. I'd wear hiking boots though or sturdy shoes as some areas of the paths are muddy. And you might need to jump a puddle or two if past weather has been inclement. Enjoy!
