Friendly helpful staff, good service and food. Wonderful old building with good toilet facilities, will visit again when opened.

Due to the lack of visitors here this is now an events centre as well as the owner organising events here eg silent films, jazz night, acoustic night, art classes as she herself is an artist and things for children during holidays, plus many more this venue is let out for parties, not wheelchair friendly and exempt from changes as it is a Grade 11 listed building

Lovely open space with local art on display. Good seating arrangement and a stage used for entertaining the guests. Lots to come and enjoy within this historic building.

Not many people use this venue, I have had a couple of visits for a cup of tea, staff very helpful and courteous, slightly off the beton track

The Oak Room is run in an old United Reform church. They've had to keep some of the memorial plaques on the walls, which I think is a total put off. It is not a church anymore.
Even though it is a lovely big room the place is crowded with furniture including some of the old pews.
The owners have tried to make the place warm and cosy, which to a certain extent they have achieved, but in the process it has become untidy.
As well as doing food and drinks they also sell hand crafted jewellery, which is very nice, and are also an art gallery.
They have another big room below the main one, and a nice private roof terrace overlooking the river Exe.
For functions it is brilliant, for music nights , poetry readings and comedy nights it is great.
They have a dog called Buddy who is a nice calming presence and is very friendly.
You do have to wait a bit while your food is being prepared, but it's worth it.
I feel that the Oak Room has lost direction a tad, but for coffee and a chat it's fine.

La cafetería está situada debajo de una iglesia que compró la dueña.Ahora la usan como galería de arte y cafetería es muy acogedora.La dueña super maja y en el cenyro de este pequeño pueblo

Stopped off in Tiverton on way north, for a coffee and came upon this old church converted into a cafe. But unusual but delicious latte! Baking also looked good but didn't indulge!

Love it here, really welcoming, loads going on, and great little cafe. Brilliant facility for Tiverton, good to see somewhere like this finally opening here. Love it!

Inside old church, art gallery and cafe. The church organ is lovely and we were lucky as he played his party piece.good cup of tea and coffee and the cakes are yummy. Only been open to public for 7 weeks certainly a place to visit.
