Had a great day today , good fun for all ages. Staff are really friendly and it’s well priced too. Spent at least 20 mins going around in circles and another 20 mins getting stuck in and out of the reeds but these were the bits the kids liked most !! Lots and lots of laughs 👍😆👍 if you have absolutely no experience rowing a boat and want to make a total plonker of yourself I can highly recommend this as a fun couple of hours, with some beautiful scenery thrown in just for good measure

Whenever we come down to Wareham we hire kayaks from here. Always friendly and efficient when booking. Beautiful stretch of water here. Recommend to anyone!

Hired a Kayak for a morning paddle. Enjoyable experience on the calm part of the river. Really impressed by the very friendly and helpful staff.

Fantastic fun, hired some paddle boards, nice and easy, friendly staff give us a few tips and let us carry on told us which was would be best to go, give us some help when we couldn't get back on the board but was great really enjoyed it.

Super friendly staff, and very reasonable prices. The river was absolutely gorgeous, particularly going inland. It made me fall in love woth British countryside again. We hired a motorboat for two hours, and got brought some lunch from a nearby bakery. Personally my favourite part of our holiday. Boat was simple enough to control (didn't stop me accidentally slightly crashing into nearby trees though, sorry). Fun going under the bridge and surrounded by lots of ducks/geese, including some sweet cygnets (didn't crash into them luckily). Easily spent the two hours. Would absolutely go again, highly recommend if you're in the area. Nearby pub for a drink afterwards and ice cream parlour, perfect day out.

I had a fantastic SUP lesson with Emily on a 1 to 1 basis, She was very patient and gave lots of tips and encouragement. If you are looking to begin your SUP experience or enhance it I would thoroughly recommend Wareham boat hire.

Best day of the year so decided to rent a double kayak. Staff very friendly and helpful offering advice as quite windy. Lifejackets must be warned. The girl helped us in and out of kayak ensuring we didn't get wet which was very helpful as we didn't arrive ready for river kayaking.
Nice trip up and down river. Very peaceful giving you a chance to really unwind from the stresses and strains of modern day living. Add in the wind chill factor and the free suntanning, so overall worth a punt.

Hired the Canadian Canoe for a couple of hours - lovely paddle on the river Frome down to the entrance to Poole harbour and back - helpful friendly - recommended

We wanted to take 95 year old dad in a wheelchair on a boat trip and this was perfect. The team made it very easy and safe for us to board the boat, the local history talk was very interesting and our skipper was friendly and knowledgeable. The amazing weather was the icing on the cake! We had a lovely afternoon!

What a wonderful find! We needed an accessible boat for a wheelchair and Wareham Boat Hire had just that. The whole team were lovely and so helpful.
And when there was a problem with the boat we had hired they simply upgraded us to the other boat at no extra cost and gave us a great experience on the river for the whole family.
Our guide was brilliant and share the amazing history of the town and river and kept us entertained for the whole trip.
The crew at the boat yard were brilliant too - with all the right equipment and the skills to help us get the wheelchair on the boat - and were really friendly and kind.
If we are ever in the area again I am certain we would be back!

Are dogs allowed on the motor boats or the tour boats please?
Hi, looking to come down in a month or so but wanted to know whether we have to wear life jackets. I’m a size 28, good swimmer and didnt want the embarrassment of not fitting in one

Your website says the motor boats are for 5 people, is there anyway you could accommodate 4 adults and 2 children on one boat?

Hi - thank you for your enquiry, the motor boats are licensed and insured for a maximum of 5 people. Unfortunately it is not something we have any flexibility on - 'rules are rules!'

Thanks for your enquiry, we have a 'Wheelyboat' available which is a wheelchair accessible motor boat. It can take up to 5 wheelchairs or a combination of able/disabled users. This can be hired on a self drive or skippered basis.
