When visiting family we always make time for a trip to Largs. Lovely small seaside town with a stone beach. Ferry access to Millport (on list of places to visit) The scenery to Largs and around Largs is beautiful.

Very easy walking all the way along the promenade with the marina at one end and Nardinis Ice Cream and a lively Witherspoons for a well earned refreshment at the other end.
iLovely scenery all the way and you can watch the ferry go over to Millport or even take a trip over as a foot passenger or with the car/Bjerknes for the 10 mile trip round the island.

It was a lovely experience to amble along Largs Seafront on a dry balmy Summer evening. But when it rains, it can be miserable.
There are some lovely restaurants to try out as well. It is also therapeutic to watch the ferries ply back and forward to the Isle of Cunbrae.
However the Barrfields Pavilion shows are excellent. and worth a visit.

We really enjoyed our dailwalks on the wide seaside path. The views were great, the walking easy. We had to ignore the oft charged weather, but you know the Scottish saying, there is no bad weather, just bad dress.

Viking Centre well worth a visit. Plenty of reasonably priced eating places. Fish and chip shops on front - cook fresh and good value.

Beautiful part of the country, quiet clean and just what we needed for a nice rest from the hustle and bustle of the city, found an absolutely gorgeous restaurant blue lagoon fish and chips, ate there practically the while time we was there!!Will definitely return

You can sit on one of the benches and look at the view all day. As you move along the front the view changes with everything more beauty.

Nice promenade walk utterly spoiled by incredibly intrusive and noisy fairground which seemed devoid of custom. Also all the carparks occupied by aforementioned fairground so nowhere to park.

Nice sea front, lovely and clean with a big car park and a good family feel. Good for an evening stroll with plenty of eateries around and an ice cream parlour

Absolutely stunningly beautiful resort - safe for dog walking -the ferry to Millport is cheap and worth the trip. Lots if pubs/places to eat and drink -

The Calmac ferry sails from Weymss Bay to Rothesay. The journey by foot or car takes 35m and a car costs about £11. Foot passengers pay about £6 return and can get a train from Glasgow Central Station to Weymss Bay with an hourly service.
