Very nice hike located in a wild and natural landscape where we saw some deer and deer in several places.

The car par is free but it was full on a sunny April day and there were lots of cars and motorhomes parked on the side of the road. Callum, the resident deer was at the car park, walking up to everyone arriving, looking for food. The hike took us five hours (adults in late 30's, early 40's, relatively fit) with an only cca 30-minute stop. It is a 14 km / 9 mile hike, a lot of it is uphill, especially at the end. So be prepared to be very tired. The path is uneven and rocky. The views are breathtaking. I highly recommend this hike if you feel fit enough.

Ho gironzolato su questo percorso la seconda volta in cui sono transitato a Torridon nel corso del mio viaggio in Scozia nel maggio 2019.
Nel mio primo passaggio, proveniente da Kyle of Lochalsh, il cielo si è in brevissimo coperto diventando ultranebbioso al punto di non permettere quasi di vedere le mie scarpe stando in piedi.
Al che sono andato a Inverness percorrendo prima da tartaruga il tratto da Torridon alla superstrada Ullapool - Inverness e poi quest'ultima senza grossi problemi.
Percorsa la strada costiera delle Highlands da Invenrness in senso antiorario, sono giunto nuovamente a Torridon località dalle possibilità di trekking notevoli.
La cittadina è di medio interesse ma le sommità verso est sono degne di nota, con sentieri e animali.
Ho letto che questa sarebbe la zona più grandiosa di tutto il Regno Unito. Certamente il panorama e le alture (non riesco a chiamarle montagne...) sono degne di nota, anche se tra Ullapool e Durness, un pò all'interno, ci sono grandiosità di poco minori ma più variegate, per cui conferisco a Torridon la "medaglia d'argento" dell'escursionismo.
Non c'è che l'imbarazzo della scelta tra i vari percorsi, sufficientemente indicati, anche se io ho intrapreso questo per seguire i daini...
Luogo in cui fermarsi almeno mezza giornata, è superiore a Skye e l'unico inconveniente è il maltempo, perchè se qui non si vede non si combina (nè si vede) nulla.

One of my favorite places in Torridon. It's about 90 mins walk from car park - all uphill. View is amazing. It's also one of the main routes up Ben Eighe if you want to climb Munroes

Remote and isolated but on an easy track. Don't forget normal walking items for mountain days in Scotland. Whilst the path is clear, the location and weather conditions can make this a long and challenging low-level walk, so be safe and carry warm and waterproof clothing, maps and rations.

This was a typical Scottish weather day. The walk and scenery were stunning, feeling so insignificant against the massive mountains. Many magic moments for photos.

We were lucky enough to have lovely clear weather for our hike to the coires. The trail gets most of its elevation early and then winds between the mountains and traverses along the north end of Sail Mhor. There is a bit of a climb up at the end but the waterfalls urge you on and then you swing over the rocks to find a lovely hidden gem which is deep and clear and cold. Also a good spot to launch to other hikes but an extremely accessible location -- great payback for effort ratio with this one.

Probably one of the finest coires in Scotland, this is well worth the walk in to and is also part of many other joineries and adventure in summer or winter. It is worth visiting even if you journey no further than the coire itself with fantastic views of the Triple Buttress at the head of the coire and views over the mountains of the Flowerdale Forest to the north.
For the more adventurous this is part of the walkers route to the summit of Beinn Eighe (Ruadh-stac Mor 1010m) and can be combined with Spidean Coire nan Clach (972m) for a full mountain day taking in both Munro summits. For climbers there a many routes on the Triple Buttress and surrounding buttresses from Diff up to E7.
For winter mountaineers there is a wide range of routers from grade I and II gullies up to grade VIII and IX climbs.
For the more adventurous this is part of the walkers route to the summit of Beinn Eighe (Ruadh-stac Mor 1010m) and can be combined with Spidean Coire nan Clach (972m) for a full mountain day taking in both Munro summits. One of the finest and most dramatic corries in Scotland, hidden from view until the last moment as you climb over the edge of the escarpment and a stunning view unfolds. Well worth the walk in on an excellent mountain path, although climbing steeply to begin with it levels out after 2 Km to a more gradual walk before getting steeper again for the last 600m. Walkers can continue to the far side of the Lochan to visit the wreckage of an Avro Lancaster which crashed into the triple buttress in 1951
