Muy recomendable si se va con niños. Siempre es bonito ver la fauna marina en su hábitat. El viaje es muy agradable.

The boat was nice because it was clean, and the seating on top (sorry, not a boat person), had a good elevation and a large, padded seating area, which made for great bird viewing. It seemed to be the best among the other boats we saw. Other people on other boats had to stand up, or there wasn’t even a top part.
My husband is a serious birder, and apparently this and Norway are the only locations to bag a white tailed eagle for a life bird. Hubby was ecstatic.
The skipper (Nigel)was pleasant, but it was really Dave with whom we interacted, and I sensed that he was passionate about the eagles, and went the extra mile to make sure we got a good look. Indeed, for me, even as a “bird widow”, seeing an eagle soaring down to the water, was a high point in my Scotland trip.
To see the eagles when they are perched on the cliff side, having access to binoculars really helps to get in more viewing time. Dave had some good binocs, but since we were alone, and of course hubby brought his own binoculars (don’t leave home without ‘em), I don’t know how many pairs they have on board.
Didn’t see sea mammals, although we went to where they might be and looked around. But the sea eagle will be forever embedded in my memory.

We had perfect weather the day we went out on the boat; 70 and sunny and no wind. We saw two sets of eagles and several seals. We didn't get to see any porpoises though. The scenery from the boat was just incredible.

Can't fault this trip! It was fabulous! The boat was beautiful and the crew members were top blokes! Came as a special outing with my boyfriend, our dog, and my mum & dad. We all thoroughly enjoyed it! We were lucky enough to see a sea eagle and seals! I just missed seeing the porpoises. Would've definitely loved to have gone out again on another day had we been staying nearer to Portree. Excellent value for money! Thank you so much!

We spent a week on Skye and went out four times with Beigadoon Boat Trips. WE CAANOT RECOMEND THEM HIGHLY ENOUGH! They went above and beyond to make our trips out so special evedy timel very friendly and helpful. Even our dog felt so welcome lol For £20 per person it is a total bargain, just remember these are wild animals so they will bot always play ball, the weather is also a thing that cannot be controled. I say ring about 8pm the night before you are hoping to go out on a trip and you should be able to get on one.

Had a great 2 hour trip out of Portree harbour on the Brigadoon. Actually it wasn't the Brigadoon it was the Spindlethrift because Brigadoon was being repaired.. it was a nice boat comfortable with all the usual health and safety stuff.
Skipper Peter was very informative and managed the boat well. With his help we saw two sea eagles on the outbound trip although neither was in a mood to be tempted by the lure. We pressed on and saw a colony of seals basking on the sun. We turned around to go back and someone shouted "they're flying" and we spent the next half an hour tracking around the bay watching these magnificent creatures soaring high on the thermals.
As if that wasn't enough Peter found a pod of porpoises out on a fishing trip.
Peter was also very informative about Skye and the other islands .
Thoroughly recommend.

We had been recommended to use this company, and the reviews were good here, so we tried to book by phone before we went. They said they were having trouble with their boat so not taking bookings - fair enough. When we got to Skye we called again and they said yes they could take us out at 4pm. When we arrived we were actually put on another boat firm, Spindrift, along with about 10 other people. It was the last trip of the day, and it was starting to rain so not best conditions, but the boat owner/guide didn't really seem interested in his paying guests, but more so in a couple of lady friends who had also come aboard. He took us to on point where the Sea Eagle obviously usually are and we could just make one out amongst the trees. Then we drove around a bit but saw nothing else. Now I know that's the nature of wildlife, you can't guarantee sightings, but we felt the Captain could have talked to us about what the do see sometimes, the local area, a bit of history or stories..anything really! At the end we handed over £50 and felt cheated.

We booked by email fairly late, having checked the weather forecast, and got a prompt reply saying we were on the 'Spindrift' rather than the 'Brigadoon', which was fine. It ended up as the skipper and the two of us plus 3 families from Shanghai (who all had excellent English). Soon after leaving Portree we saw a perched Golden Eagle which then flew and a second appeared overhead. Then after scanning the hillside, 2 Sea Eagles sitting in a tree. Sailing on we briefly watched a Porpoise, then 2 further Sea Eagles which soared right overhead before landing. There were also Puffins, Guillemots and a Black Guillemot. The skipper was friendly, knowledgeable, and even let the Chinese kids have a (brief) go on the tiller which made their day!

Io e mia moglie siamo stati 2 giorni fa a fare questa escursione nella baia di Portree.
Devo fare una premessa : siamo già stati a vedere le aquile di mare alle isole Lofoten in Norvegia e questo non giova a favore di questa escursione. Però devo dire che, per come sono pubblicizzate sul volantino, non si può rimanere molto soddisfatti degli avvistamenti. Infatti,solo una coppia di seagle è possibile vedere, anche perchè nella zona dove si recano queste barche, ne vivono solo 2. Inoltre sembra che l'equipaggio non sia tanto pratico del sistema per attirare l'attenzione dei rapaci (un solo pesce gettato in acqua mentre nelle vicinanze c'erano dei gabbiani, che ci hanno messo un attimo a farne man bassa). Il maschio dell'aquila è arrivato, ma quando ha preso i resti del pesce dall'acqua era lontanissimo. Successivamente abbiamo avvistato un buon numero di delfini, che hanno continuato diversi minuti a zizagare intorno alla nostra barca, facendo divertire bambini e turisti. Forse questo ha condizionato il capitano, che ha deciso di "tralasciare" la zona della colonia di foche, rientrando per il terminare delle 2 ore di crociera. In conclusione, adatto ai bambini e a chi non ha troppe aspettative sugli avvistamenti. Io, però, trovo molto "ottimistica" la descrizione dell'opuscolo di presentazione.

Wonderful boat tour. Skipper (Peter) was friendly, interesting and informative. Saw the Sea Eagles and then Peter spotted a porpoise and changed the 'routine' tour to follow a pod of Dolphins for over 1 hour. Fantastic!

Hi I'm looking to take my mum out on a boat trip. She does use a wheelchair or walker, but can walk unaided. Is your boat at all suitable for her?

Hi Jane, thanks for your enquiry, there are steps required to gain access to the boat, your mum would need to be able to mount a step on both sides. We do get people with mobility problems and have always managed to get them on and off the boat.

Hi sorry for the delay in replying. the trips are 2 hours long, we don't do a shorter one as we cover a lot of the Sound of Raasay and can't do it in less.

We have booked to stay 3 nights at Portree and would love to do your boat trip to see the Sea Eagles feeding, on either the 7th or 8th of May. Do we need to pre book, or can we just turn up in time for the 10am departure?
