Kayaking around Loch Goil with our kids - absolutely fantastic. Great guidance - fun to do. Good region to explore. Equipment all good. Life jackets etc provides. Fantastic way to spend a couple of hours.

Fantastic. Great fun but tired. As kayaking goes, this was great. Not too many rules and great view round the loch. 2 hours, 4 of us in 2 doubles. £60.
No pictures as didn’t want to drop anything. Basic setup but that’s good as we had everything we needed. Paddles and kayak. Be prepared to get wet and can be cold. Experience not necessary but helps.
They do paddle boards and singles too. And they take card.

Samen met onze zoon van 7 en dochter van 8 hier met het gezin gekayakt. Erg vriendelijke eigenaren, de eigenaresse praatte zelfs enkele woorden Nederlands! Ieder krijgt een goed passend reddingsvest, zit bij de prijs in en een fijne dubbele peddel. Er wordt goed op je gelet op het water, en ze hebben eventueel een motorbootje achter de hand bij problemen. Wij hadden heerlijk weer, zon en weinig tot geen wind waardoor het meer zo glad was als een spiegel. Heerlijk om te doen!

Was staying at nearby Drimsynie, so this was on our doorstep.
Waking up to not the best weather, we were in two minds whether to cancel or not, I’m so glad we didn’t.
After all the formalities, filling out forms etc we made our way down to the Loch side where we were given all the instructions from the very knowledgeable owner(sorry didn’t get his name) weather conditions, tide information where and where not to go, even to lookout incase an infrequent visitor turned up, no, not wildlife but a submarine!!!! now that would have been a sight!
Off we set for one of the most enjoyable parts of our holiday in Scotland, just over two hours of paddling around the Loch , we could have had up to three hours but we were both shattered as it’s harder than you’d think, especially when there’s a headwind. The highlight was when a friendly seal popped his head up to say hello, he seemed to follow us as everywhere we went up he popped.
So, if you’re close by and want to do something different give kayaking a try, you never know what you might see!

Some friends and I decided to spend a sunny day on the water. We had a marvellous 4 hours pottering around the loch and fishing while we did in (caught the biggest mackerel you could imagine). We were staying at Helensburgh and it’s one of the closest places from there at just over an hour. It’s the nicest drive I’ve even been on to get there. Well priced and the family who run it are extremely friendly and accommodating.

My teenagers and I spent a most enjoyable hour in the Loch in kyacks. The owners were friendly and helpful. The scenery was nothing less than spectacular with the icing on the cake was when a couple of Poipose decided to put in an appearance less than three meters away.
