This shop is amazing! I have been over a dozen times to get my food refills and single-use plastic-free toiletries. A fab selection of cards and children's toys too. I would highly recommend to anyone, even if you're not environmentally-minded - its products are the best quality.

Sorry to say i had a bad experience here today with a friend because my 2 year old had come out of the play pen, it wasn't our first visit there either ( the others had not been so bad) i understand that children shouldn't run around the shop but unfortunately my 2 year old doesn't, this resulted in a rude comment being made which promted us to leave, there was also no food available on our last 2 visits no drinks for children and no assistance whatsoever today on our arrival nor a greeting, seems only wealthy people with silent still children are welcome here :(

I'm sorry that you felt it necessary to leave this review, it is really upsetting on a personal level.
There was no rude comment, you were asked politely not to let your child run around on the shop floor as there are hot drinks being served and stock which could cause injury if pulled down by a small child.
You're quite right that there was no food available, sadly we are very short staffed due to the pandemic and as business has been quiet we took the decision to temporarily stop serving food, this information is clearly displayed. As for children's drinks we always have juice drinks available.
Again as we are short staffed it is not always possible to assist a customer whilst already assisting another customer, however once we finish with a customer we will always help the next one. All our customers are valued equally whether they spend 20p on a food refill or £300 on toys and clothes.

I never tire of this store . Spent a good hour there yesterday browsing the ever increasing range of ethically sourced and ecologically sound goods whilst the kids caused havoc in the play den.
Left with a couple of birthday gifts , some of my favourite beauty kubes and an eco bristle brush for the bathroom revamp . Never thought I’d get excited over a toilet brush but there we go !
The oat milk hot chocolate is to die for as well !

This is a gem of a place. Fair trade, organic and ethical products plus amazing coffee. The children's play area is just wonderful.

Visited today on their opening day and I’m so glad that I did! Finally found a place in town where I can have a relaxing coffee and watch my daughter play without feeling I’m causing a noise or disturbing people. The play area, although small was actually a perfect size as I could see my daughter at all times and the toys were beautiful wooden toys that were so exciting to her. The shop is also full of beautiful wooden toys, lovely clothes and an array of eco friendly items. Everything is eye catching and there is something for everyone’s budget. Will be going back tomorrow for another visit! Cannot recommend it enough! The coffee was also the smoothest and nicest coffee I think I’ve ever had! Cafetière style and just delicious!

I visited with two mum-friends and our 3 toddlers. The new shop is a great size, with lots of space! Delicious coffee & cake (a number of homemade options, I chose the vegan chocolate brownie due to dairy & soya allergies). The kids loved the enclosed play area and spent a good couple of hours playing! Then of course, we were tempted by the vast selection of natural, ethical (😉), sustainable baby clothes (a fab Frugi outfit!), wooden toys, toiletries and other adult and household products.
Great time had by all, we will certainly be regulars! Thanks again to Jayne for being such a friendly, knowledgeable host/retailer!

wonderful little shop in the heart of ruthin .great customer service and a wonderful selection of products, there is not a great supply of vegan products in ruthin so this shop is a welcome suprise .will definitley be visiting again .
