2nd time with Sam and Paddle West. Don't hesitate to book. Great experience, Sam's knowledge of the wildlife and local history adds to the experience. Looking forward to another route next time.

A really fun trip for the whole family

Brilliant fun for the whole family. We did a winter time canoe tour with paddle west from Pembroke Dock to Carew. Great instruction, great kit, really well organised trip with beautiful scenery. Such a lovely way to explore part of Pembrokeshire that is on our doorstep but we’ve never been to by canoe! We all had a blast, including our 9-year-old and 12-year-old. Would highly recommend.

Competent, experienced, good humored staff. Beautiful weather, great route with interesting, humorous facts and stories told by our guide Graham. Highly recommend and will definitely do it again.

A really fun but professional experience on completing one of many courses to come in paddlesport. Sam really knows his stuff and makes a very serious course a fun day out !

Foundation Safety & Rescue Training

Yesterday I undertook the foundation safety & rescue training course with Sam and his assistant Logan. The course covered all aspects of safety and recovery at an appropriate level and offered a real experience of recovering a variety of water craft and people into them.

The course was really enjoyable and provided appropriate challenge to ensure that I have a good level of competence and confidence in being able to use these techniques in the real world.

I will definitely be using Paddle West for further qualifications and can fully recommend them to anyone wanting to improve their paddling or to get any qualifications they might need.

Paddle safer and have fun

My daughter and I took a the paddle safer course.
After buying an inflatable kayak, we didn’t want to be another hazard on the water ways, so thought this was a good idea.
Sam taught us about currents, winds, the importance of planning and managing equipment.
We learned how to work better as a team, how to rescue ourselves and others. Well worth it.
We had a blast whilst learning some essential skills.

Amazing experience canoeing!

We had a fantastic time on the canoeing tour! Both guides were knowledgeable, friendly and kept us chatting throughout the tour which made all the difference. Beautiful scenery and high quality and well kept equipment. Highly recommend! 😃
