While staying in Sydney we covered a lot of ground on the ferries and walking tracks.
So many great bays and beaches all with their own character and amazing views.
We found the walk from Shelly Beach up into the bush above a favourite one .
Some great views and up the top we found some old military gun placements.
There were some lovely wild flowers to see as well.
Sydney harbour is a great place to take a ferry then get off and do some walks.

This was my 3rd visit to the Sydney Harbour National Park, but I never tire of the breathtaking views. Sydney and the harbour are on one side, the ocean on the other. Trails are well marked and not overly taxing. Entry is free, although there is a charge to park vehicles.

Es ist ein unvergessliches Erlebnis, wenn man diesen direkt am Meer gelegenen Park besucht.
Auf sehr gut ausgeschilderten Wegen erlebt man die besondere Flora aus nächster Nähe. Immer wieder sieht man Kukaburras und hört ihr typisches "Lachen".
Gute Schuhe sind auf den schmalen " bush walks" von Vorteil.
Wir sind bis Manly Beach gelaufen.
Dort gibt es 1000 Restaurants ubd Geschäfte.
Und der Strand in Manly ist wunderschön.
Auf sehr gut ausgeschilderten Wegen erlebt man die besondere Flora aus nächster Nähe. Immer wieder sieht man Kukaburras und hört ihr typisches "Lachen".

Great to see so many National Parks so close in to Sydney with most readily accessible by public transport. To walk in these parks is such a pleasurable experience with great views across the harbour. Our only difficulty was trying to find maps or brochures from a National Parks office.

Sydney Harbour National Park - what to say about one of the worlds most famous bodies of water? This attraction has just about everything and multiple ways to see and experience it. There are flights to take, walk from bay to bay or jump on a ferry. There are many, many coves and beaches. Some nature reserves on the northern side, lots of walking paths and places to stop and visit. Photos of Sydney Harbour do not do it justice.

Bradley's Head Mosman is located within the Sydney Harbour National Park. It is a fabulous lookout and a coveted spot to watch the New Year's eve fireworks in Sydney.
It's a great picnic area and the Bradley's Head Amphitheatre is a popular wedding location and photography spot. This space can be hired for private functions. There is a memorial here by the Royal Australian Navy here and you can set off on a beautiful bushwalk from here. Parking on site available.

Sydney Harbour National Park is one of the most beautiful of NSW’s 900+ National Parks and reserves. It covers an extraordinary area that includes Sydney Harbour itself, the harbour islands and the harbour foreshore.
For tourists who want to explore some of it, the best way is by harbour ferry or by choosing one of the many coastal and bushland walking trails.
Ferries continually criss-cross the harbour. Probably the most popular day trip ferry rides are:
i) from Circular Quay to Watsons Bay
ii) Circular Quay to Manly or
iii) Circular Quay to Mosman & Taronga Park Zoo.
There are many bushland and coastal walks throughout the park but the top 5 for dramatic views and scenic sight-seeing are:
i) South Head Heritage Trail
ii) Hermitage Foreshore Trail
iii) Spit Bridge to Manly
iv) Bradleys Head to Chowder Bay
v) North Head & Quarantine Station

The best way to see it is by boat. If you are travelling from overseas or interstate then the Manly Ferry is the next best way to experience this natural wonder. Many, many walks around the northern and southern sides.

Après la plage petite promenade dans ce park national , avec en haut une vue magnifique sur Sydney , sur les falaises et sur cet immense océan . A faire pour la beauté du paysage .

We walked around, mostly on the cliffs, but also in other areas as well. This is one of the most spectacular parts of Sydney. The views are absolutely breathtaking. The walk can be a bit challenging if you are not physically fit, but you can take it easy and you should find it quite rewarding.

Hello,
I'm looking to spend a full day hiking and exploring Sydney Harbour National Park. From map, I can see there are 2 sections of Sydney Harbout separated by water. My question is, which is the more scenic side that I should go to? Also, if I take the Circular Quay ferry to Manly, can I walk to the Sydney Harbour Nat'l Park? Or would I need a private car? Any additional information you can provide would be greatly appreciated!
