A very satisfying dig!

Visited while on a weekend family trip to Kyneton. I can always sniff out vinyl records when i come to a town, and Long Story Short provided a rewarding experience for a climb up a couple of flights of stairs. An interesting selection of second records with a quite a number of lesser seen gems amongst them, as well as lots of books and some vintage clothes as well. My wife and daughter had a good browse and i picked up a couple of albums too. A shop that very much reflects the passion of interest of its owners. Highly recommended

An adventure

Located on Piper Street, it's not as easy to locate as one may think ... if you are overwhelmed by the amount of things that capture your interest in the street, the A-frame sign on the footpath may elude you. When you do get there , you need to go up two flights of stairs into a really beautiful old building.

Before you traverse up the second flight of stairs, you will be surrounded by books. The books are inviting you into this hidden part of the building. It seems there is no rhyme or reason to the layout inside, but still there is something warm and welcoming to book lovers. This store also sells a small amount of second hand clothing and goods.

You will either love or hate this place with it's lack of organisation... but I feel that is part of it's charm... that you must seek what you came looking for... even if you aren't sure what that is. I left here with a couple of books and actually enjoyed the visit, but it was a bit warm in there on a hot Summer's day.

Meant to be open on Saturday but twice I've been there and it hasn't been open. You would think the one day a week it's open it would actually be open. Very disappointed.
