Unfortunately we couldnt enjoy this market has there are groups of politcal people pucshing their agenda's everywhere. You are swamped with this constant harrassment, making you feel very uncomfortable. We couldnt enjoy the market as we were trying to avoid these people. What a shame the market is used for this.

This is a very popular farmer's market located in the centre of Kyneton. The market stalls are quite diverse with lots of food, craft and rustic options. It is situated on a sloping block below the St Paul's church. this was our first visit however it has sufficient variety and value to warrant a return visit. Hot food, coffee, cakes, fresh fruit, wines, cider, live chickens, hats and scarves, birthday cards are just some of the items available to buy.

Thanks so much for your review! The deciduous trees are all leafing up now and October & November are great months for gardens in Kyneton. The dates for the next 2 markets are Saturday October 9th and November 13th.

Thank you for commenting on this Leon! I'm sorry but as of September 2021 the maintenance required has not been done. As a new Volunteer Market Coordinator I have made it a priority to bring it to the attention of the Bishop of Bendigo. St Pauls Anglican Church is the owner of the park but it is part of the Bendigo Diocese. We have almost finished the preliminary work ready for new gravel to be laid. When finished, it will be a long lasting and safe surface for everyone who works at and shops at the Market.

lots of fresh produce and some brick a brack stalls, Also some tasty looking food stalls. The weather was very cold but the market was quite crowded.

Thanks for your review Monika. In 2018 it was not possible for the volunteers who run the Market to respond. Im a new volunteer coordinator and social media is a bit easier for me!
You are right about the cold weather. The locals all wear beanies and warm coats and are ready for the occasions when it can snow! We are very grateful to all the loyal farmers market fans who support the market rain, hail or shine! Hopefully you will get to visit in other seasons. Kyneton looks very different when all the deciduous trees have their leaves. The next market is 9th October 2021.

The Kyneton market and its sister markets never fail to deliver. With the same stall holders rotating around various markets in the district, consistency of quality is everything. Almost all of the produce is locally grown or manufactured, and the stall holders are generally the people who grow or make the goods. Over time I have learnt that there is a great story to be told behind each offering, and there is plenty here to keep the pantry full. Ranging from locally baked breads, pressed olive oils, fresh picked mushrooms, farm to market chicken, lamb and pork, fresh veggies pulled or picked the same day, homemade jams and soaps, flowers, potted plants, local wine etc etc. On market day the town wakes early with a van brewing fresh coffee, local entertainers tuning up and stall holders lovingly preparing their goods for sale.

This is a late thank you from the volunteers at Kyneton Farmers Market. We are just one of the markets in the Macedon Ranges Group as you mention. Each market has evolved in its own unique way. Some stallholders attend a few of the markets but others only attend their local one. We appreciate everyone who has supported the market this year!

Love this market! So much fresh local food - fruit and veggies, meat, cheeses, wine, live chickens and fresh eggs. We normally go about 10 am - wander around for a couple of hours (walk up and down of the Piper street shops too) then grab lunch somewhere. Great morning out.

This is smaller than alot of markets Ive been to over the years but its content is awesome, the man with all the different herbs, some Ive not heard of before was particularly engaging, really a very good farmers market.

This market had plenty of produce as well as meat and seafood along with a variety of products including prepared foods. Many samples were offered. Being on holiday and not cooking, we couldn't buy much but it was fun browsing all the stands.

Definitely one of the better markets with fresh, seasonal produce and locally cooked/baked treats. Always busy and bustling, it's worth a visit for locals and visitors alike.
