I located this store on TripAdvisor but I could not expect to see what I did. The store is located in an old building that once housed ice ... and was later a garage.
The artwork quality is utterly amazing, if you like Australian Art then this will be a place that you MUST put on your list. I loved so much of the work in there and even the items that I would not own, I could imagine in cafes or offices.
Some of my favourite works had been done on pianola paper which made them quirky, but even if it had been done on regular art paper... they were interesting and worth purchasing. These are one off pieces of Art that will complement your home. There is a large range of prints available as well, but the print editions are very limited...so there might only be 8 prints of it.
If you want something special... then this is the place that you must put on your list of places to go.

Great local artist-owned gallery right in the good part of Piper St. Ever changing works - paintings, prints, ceramics in a quirky little gallery - love it! Worth looking out for group exhibitions here.

We loved the artwork in this shop. If we had space on a wall at home, we could easily have chosen a watercolour or lithograph print to take home with us. Instead we had to settle for some delightful watercolour cards.

This gallery is wonderful, not pretentious as so many are. The owner, Sarah is a delight to deal with & her work is beautiful, we walked out with 4 pieces today! She showcases other artists who's work is such a wonderful representation of the area. If you want artwork that you actually understand, brings a smile to your face & for many different budgets, look no further.

As you walk in you are immersed on all sides with glorious colour and original prints. The most memorable for me were the charming cottage garden or field flower prints framed on the wall and the whimsical sculpture featuring a delighted woman with birds fluttering on her arms. You need a generous budget to bring some of these artistic treasures home.

Lauriston Press is such a delight to visit with lots of little surprises. Some amazing print artists showcased and the owner is so lovely. Her art is amazing as well. Well worth the visit in Kyneton.
