Nice trails and well kept park. Close in town.
Playground for kiddos, you can fish and enjoy ducks. Water is a beautiful green.

There are swings for people of all ages and abilities. We walked around the town and after finishing with the local museums, we sat and rested in the park.

Bandera offers so much to do it was restful to visit their city park. The river and cypress trees are magnificent. It was sparsely attended so it was like having it to ourselves.

Beautiful cypress trees line the banks of this part of the river that runs through the park. Start at the far end of the park and peacefully float to the other end. For the dare devils ropes hang out over the deeper parts of the river and brave souls climb up to platforms to snare the ropes and swing out over the water. Shallow areas and natural gravel pits make for shallow water fun for small children and parents soak in the water and watch their young children play in the rocks.

My husband, daughter and I had a wonderful short visit at this park. It was clean and well kept. They have play areas, lots of tables, and places to grill out. Would love the opportunity again to come back and enjoy a cookout on the river.

This town park is right on the Medina River and so beautiful. Lots of room for folks to picnic and enjoy the beauty of Texas' gorgeous waterways.

In the small town of Bandera, up in the mountains a bit, there is a lot of open space and scenery to see, the latter in the form of the trees, the herd of deer that seems to frequent this park, and the beautiful Medina River. There are plenty of picnic tables and amenities.
If you have a chance, see even more with the Bandera Historical (horseback) Rides that skirt and for at least the one hour ride include portions of this park.

We stopped in here to have a leisurely walk. It was not overly crowded and we enjoyed walking beside the Medina River and watching the ducks. The river was beautiful. We would return if in the area and probably bring a picnic next time.

Very low key, mostly locals. We grilled and hung out all day. I grew up on the SM river and it reminded me of my hometown but much quieter and peaceful. Dogs on a leash are fine and the people were super cool. If you want to "veg" and disconnect then this is the spot.

Nice park. Quiet and shady. Go during the week and it is free. If you go on the weekend, be ready to pay to enter a public park. The fee was $5.00 a person. For us it was $25.00 that we were not expecting to pay. Not sure exactly were the money goes and why they choose to just charge on weekends and guessing holidays other than to turn the public park into a moneymaker.
