I've played Meadowbrook numerous times and the course has always been in pretty good shape. This is a municipal course run by the City of Fort Worth and they do a good job of making it fun to play.
Meadowbrook will never be mistaken for a luxury course, but it presents some challenges with water and sand throughout. At $25-$30 to play, it's cheaper than pretty much anywhere else if you're riding a cart. For that reason alone, it will stay in the rotation.

For 25 dollars this course is well worth the money. Course was in good shape with hole placements that kept it interesting. Greens were outstanding with exception to one hole which had a small spot of repair underway, but not large enough to effect play. Only downside was no cart girl so get your drinks at the club house before heading out.

Ft. Worth public courses are easy to access and challenging. Need to ask the hotel for arranging tee times if visiting. Rates are competitive and no where close to the upscale facilities. The greens were very good and the fairways dormant at this time but played fairly well. Will play again if in the area.
