Don't visit if you haven't committed the time to slow down and enjoy the view: in and outside the dining area, the other patrons and the food Artistic is the watchword for the entire experience. You get what you pay for and it is not cheap but it is worth it.

I loved the museum, its incredible architectural gem, Architect Tadao Ando's work of art on its own and of course, its content! Mesmerizing modern art, I was very surprised by its excellent quality! Very careful works, staff attentive to everything. Very interesting in all aspects, you can not miss it!

The current special exhibit was phenomenal. Women painting women was an unexpectedly rich and varied offering. I laughed, I cried. Really evocative. Loved my brunch at the Cafe. The Lobster Avocado toast was a real treat. Chinois salad was delicious, enjoyed with a French Mimosa and a lovely view over the refecting pool and sculpture garden. Solo traveler zentopia.

A delightful museum with many amazing pieces of art. Be sure to dine in the Cafe Modern during your visit - the food is wonderful and the service is the best!

Wow! This was our favorite experience during four days in Dallas and Fort Worth. The building and collection are both amazing. We saw so many incredible works. We spent almost three hours here. Definitely recommended for all art lovers.

This is a great art museum, we had printed tickets in advance and the staff was quite friendly and knowledgeable. We love art museums and this is no exception.

I really like museums and have been to ones all over the world. With that in mind, I have to say this is one of my all-time favorites in large part because of the extraordinary building. The building itself is a work of art and its galleries are like canvases where the curators work. The light is astonishing and nothing is too crowded. We (my husband, who doesn't usually love museums) were blown away. The folks working the front desk weren't exactly warm and engaging, nor were the folks in the gift shop (which is filled with lots of great things!). But we really, really enjoyed ourselves and found some old favorites and some new ones too.

Went specifically to see the Milton Avery exhibit and it didn’t disappoint. Several rooms filled with seventy paintings, sketches and water colors by this talented artist. Definitely worth a visit! The building itself is beautiful and interesting to walk through. A wonderful gift shop is also worth a walk through. Lots of unusual items.

I’ve been here twice now - always great exhibits. I’m a graphic artist and can appreciate modern art even though it’s not something I dabble in. The exhibits are a good mix of “out there” and simple graphical/modern that everyone can appreciate. The building itself is nice and well laid out. Our company has even rented the place out and used the bar/dining area for full service cocktails. I highly recommend a stop here.

This is probably the worst museum I ever went to. Paid $8 each and then the employee told us the entire 2nd floor was closed except one small area which took us approximately 2 minutes to explore. The artwork was SO blah and boring. I have already visited the best of the best already but figured I would give this a shot. Save your money. We probably stayed a total of 20 minutes. So disappointing.
