This was our second visit to this park. During this stay, we were in #10, an ADA site, but this needs to be reassessed. It was not level, all gravel site, not up to ADA standards.
It's a nice park - clean, trees and grass manicured, lots of different areas to walk, great dog park, convenient to town, and an interesting Butterfly Way Place. We hope to return next year.

This park has many activities to choose from. We hiked the trail by the river a couple of times. It's a very peaceful place. There are also tennis & pickleball courts, a public swimming pool, baseball fields, pavilions, picnic areas, and even an RV park.

We had a family reunion at one of the pavilions. Even though it was a very warm day, it wasn't bad at all under the shade. We were by the golf course and a creek. Very nice breeze coming thru, Restrooms were close. Airport was close but didn't really bother us at all.

Very nice park. Camping Sites are mainly level and you get a lot of services for your dollar. It is next to an airport which has small planes taking off. The pool wasn't open yet but it looks nice. Huge dog park. Plenty of places to walk.

We were fortunate enough to be in a site adjacent to the airport. Because we were there over the weekend, it was interesting to see so many small planes taking off and landing. The sites are close together but we had room for our ‘35 foot Motorhome and toad. I never saw staff out working around the campground but it was clean. Many families, both locals and those staying there were enjoying feeding the ducks in the lake, watching planes, the ball fields, tennis courts, golf course and dog park. They also have pavilions for rent for groups.

This was our first trip to Texas so many of the birds seen were new species for us. We saw many birds around the blind located at the park entrance . There is a chart showing 24 species frequently seen at the feeder and indeed we saw most of them within an hour of viewing. . There are also nesting houses on poles which attracted many purple martins near the parking lot. Wish we had more time at this park but it definitely hits the sweet spot for us birders.

Thankful for heated, well-maintained restrooms and showers! Peaceful (incredibly, even though it's next to a small airstrip) with plenty of choices for picnics and nature appreciation. Nice playgrounds, butterfly garden, nature trails, and birdwatching sites with charts for self-guided education.

A nice place to go, along the river and has many birds visiting as well as a butterfly garden. It is southwest of town on H.76 and next to the airport so at time you do hear the planes.

Though we arrived at 6 pm when it was dark, we enjoyed our picnic dinner on nice picnic tables. The park is open until 10 pm.

Spent a lovely two hours on a short nature walk. It had a nice bird hide to sit and observe birds at the feeders, and a small butterfly garden.

Correct, the only indoor, air conditioned facility is within the clubhouse. It is a lovely building with magnificent views.

How is the tent camping here? It says first come first serve.. does it usually fill up pretty quickly? Can you still call ahead to make reservations? Lastly are campfires allowed?
