Our family loves this place. We go at least once a year. Take lawn chairs or blankets. They have an area where you can sit outside by the concession stands. The concession stand has a surprising selection (nachos, hot dogs, as well as popcorn and candy). It is fun to step back in time and our family has had nothing but good memories here.

We take the kids here about once a year, usually in the fall. It's just a fun, economical, weekend night. Always check to see if they are open (once we planed to be in the area, and it had been raining quite a bit so we had to find an alternative). It is only $20 per car. Bring lawn chairs or blankets. The movies they show are family friendly. We always eat dinner in the snack bar (which does up the price a little, but that is how they make their money). We always have a good time.

The Brazos Drive-In has been family owned and operated since the early 50's. It is one of the only original drive-ins existing today, making it a must-do on everyone's bucket list. It is an unique movie experience as well as a chance to enjoy a classic tradition.
The theater is open March thru November on Friday and Saturday nights, showing two movies a night. During the summer, they are open on Sunday night as well and show one movie. We went on a Sunday night and saw the new Lion King movie. I didn't like the movie, but it was pretty cool getting to see it on the big screen.
You can't beat the price of $20 a car either for an activity you can do with your whole family!
The concession stand has ALOT of food choices. From hamburgers (which were pretty good!), nachos, & hot dogs to popcorn, snack candies, and ice cream, there's a little of something for everyone. Make sure to take a good bit of money; it can be a bit costly, but the cost is what keeps the Brazos open!

I visited this charming drive-in during during the Christmas-New Year season. It was a double feature. Many families were there and both movies were good family stuff. People of all ages were in attendance from the very young to the elderly. The people were friendly and the concession stand had a good selection of goodies. An interesting feature is that the restroom had lower than usual fixtures. Everyone commented how interesting that it was "child sized" and was perfectly functional for all ages. The drive-in is located about 30 miles or so southwest of Fort Worth, a fairly easy drive.

An old fashioned drive-in is the perfect night for the family. Get your Jammies on and pack the car with blankets and pillows. This is a great adventure for all.
I used to go to this theatre 49 years ago and it has been super fun going there again with grandchildren.

One of the last Classic Drive in Movies, a nice family nostalgic experience. You still get two movies. Come early else you might get turned away when they are full.

Its been awhile since i visited the drive in but my sister and i took our kids we had a long drive from north of fort worth so we were just arriving as the first movie was starting we had to park all the way in the back which would have been fine but reception was poor through our radio a helicopter kept hovoring over us preventing us from hearing anything at all it was super frustrating... Then an employee came and told us we might want to move in closer there was a escaped prisoner we piled in the van paranoid stricken doors locked Windows up unable to look at anything but the dark surroundings awaiting our fate of a possible car jacking we left a few minutes later. Not a experience i will forget or ever want to relive.
