This was my second time renting from Sam's Dock and overall the process of renting was smooth and easy. I rented the Blue Goose Double Deck and it's a lot of fun. I debated writing this review because I thought it was just me that the captain was haggling about his tip money, but I later found out that that was not the case. Before we boarded and took off, the captain pulled me to the side and explained his rules and procedures, which I appreciated. He then ends the conversation with "are you taking care of my tip?" and I said "yes, that's me" not thinking too much about it.
I rented the boat for 4 hours and had a good time. Throughout the rental, the captain made comments to me like "are you going to be able to remember my tip?" and I assured him that he will be taken care of.
By the end of the rental, I made sure that he was tipped. The next couple of days after, I talked to my guests on the boat and found out that he was haggling them on tipping him as well. This is NOT OKAY. He was well taken care of by myself, as my guests did not need to tip. This was so unprofessional and I feel that he was so money hungry. I just hoped that ALL the money he tried to haggle, that he evenly split it with the other crew member, Jackson, who was sweet, accommodating, and deserving. I will not mention the captain's name on this review, but if Sam's Dock would like to know, please contact me. If I ever rent from Sam's Dock again, I will MAKE SURE I do not get this captain.

Our captain and his assistant were amazing! This is our 4th time and every time it gets better! Staff is so friendly and make us always feel like part of Sam’s Dock family! Thank you and look forward to our next trip!

So we rented out the Blue Goose Cantina for an anniversary party and we had the best time of our life! Zane and Colin were literally the best and Ben was super accommodating! I would definitely rent again!

Worst place ever. They steal your money. It’s not worth it you pay about 420 at the beginning then give you extra charges at the end about almost 500 extra after. DO NOT RECOMMEND

Worst place to go to. The people are so racist they charge you so much afterwords. And tell the people in line behind you what all you did wrong or supposedly damaged. They made me feel like Mexicans just because they have money shouldn’t have the opportunity to be on a boat.

Worst place to go to if you aren’t white. They charges us prices for the people before us because of our ethnicity. Don’t go to this place just buy your boat instead. HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. They literally all smell like weed.

Onggg 10/10 would highly recommend. What they say “boy we had a time last night”. They captain and co captain was so cool,nice,and respectful. They made sure we enjoyed ourselves and didn’t give us no problems. The 2 ladies that helped me check in was so sweet. I’ll definitely be booking again!

We booked a party boat for a corporate team-building event and we had a blast! Captain Ben was awesome, very friendly and funny, and kept us safe and informed. The boat was clean and well-kept and Lake Grapevine is absolutely gorgeous! Would definitely recommend

Deluxe Party Boat was rented for multiple Bday’s. We had 8 children under 10, they had such a blast on the Lilly Pad. Crew was great. Anytime I had a question it was promptly answered thru a text. Lunch was catered. The age was from 18 months to 83. For the seniors it was stable and comfortable. An all around great time. Thanks to all!

Very disappointed and not worth the money. We only had the Blue Goose reserved for three hours but spent over 30 minutes getting to docking area which was walking distance in the water to the shore area where there was a beach and picnic area. We were so close several of the people swimming came to the boat requesting to climb on. Then we were made to get back out of the water to head back 40 minutes before our time was us. This means we paid $1850.00 to be docked next to a public beach. I wrote them about being unsatisfied and never received a response. We WILL NOT make this mistake again and I will make sure none of our friends do either.
