I don't care for shopping but there are quite a selection of restaurants in the area. The place is located near the football stadium past the western end of the Rice University campus. So if you are touring the campus, it is a long walk from say Lovette Hall to the Rice Village Shops.

Great little area. Jamed with interesting shops, a lot of ethnic restaurants, fancy and casual- really a great collection of choices, Not far from Rice University or from the Medical Center area - its actually a great place to if you are staying in the latter because there really isn't too much there in the way of shops or dining. I am looking forward to going back.

If your looking for a place to go shopping or have a bit to eat or dinner, this is the place!
We did a little bit of shopping had a wonderful dinner outside and after walking around we stopped for a night cap.
A perfect way to spend an afternoon!

I ended up spending way more than I wanted to because of these one of kind boutiques all over. I like that you can walk around and shop. These are boutique shops, which means you're going to have boutique prices. But there's regular stores too like VS, Gap, and so on.

Enjoy a lovely dinner and one of the many restaurants in the area. We were able to sit outside and enjoy watching pedestrians walking about. So many different restaurants to chose from and plenty of walking space to walk off the meal we had. Excellent way to spend and afternoon.
