A lovely cheese boutique making artisan cheese with high quality Guernsey cows milk & local fresh goats milk.
There are lots of options from soft cream style to aged cheddar and Camembert style goat cheese.
Please note that it is a smaller shop.
We were lucky to visit on a Saturday when they were making fresh grilled cheese cheddar sandwiches fresh to order on local bread~ our snack was greatly enjoyed on the picnic tables on the property

Shop local? Well if you have your open sign lit, staff inside, but greet customers with locked doors 12 minutes before 5pm closing (TODAY), nope. Instead of waving to them as they leave & drive away, maybe open the door? Won't be back or bring other customers again.

We decided to take a drive to kill time and came across Upper Canada Cheese Company and decided to stop in. They had excellent measures in place to help with social distancing. We didn't look around for long because there was a 3 person maximum in the store and people were waiting. We bought cheese curds, pepperettes and butter tarts. All were absolutely delicious. The cheese curds were the best I've EVER had. We'll definitely be back when we're in the Niagara region again. Hopefully life will nearly be back to normal by then so we can actually look at everything they have.

Seriously impressed with the quality of the cheeses here. This is not "Kraft"(tm)... First, the milk is from a single breed of cattle, Guernsey. Has quite a different taste and texture. Because they have cheeses and sausages you'll not likely see in the U.S., I suggest you stop here on your way into Canada and eat them while here.
They also have first rate cocoa and butter tarts.

We stopped at Upper Canada Cheese Company while wine tasting at nearby wineries in the twenty valley area. Upper Canada cheese has a large variety of cheeses and offers free samples. They also sell jams, jellies, bread, crackers, cured meats, dips, honey, soups and sauces. Our favourite cheese was the smoked maple cheese. Interesting little shop worth a stop when in the area.

I never write reviews but i left Upper Canada Cheese with my heart racing in an effort not to say "Can you please just be nice" to 3 women. First a woman not making eye contact with us saying, tastings at the left of the counter. Okay, i can deal with that brusque approach to customer service. Then a woman saying sternly telling us to wait until she was ready, so some group members stepped away to view the store then shortly after; equally as stern saying she was waiting for us to give the tastings. Then listened to another encounter of an employee rudely telling another patron that you can't just walk in for tastings. We left in a silent rage from our poor experience. Not sure what is the root cause of why these woman were so awful but certainly not a pleasant atmosphere. Side note, the cheese was fantastic but left without a purchase because of the nasty employees.

Stopped here on recommendation of Inn On The Twenty! Definitely a great recommendation! Good selection of area cow and goat cheeses, among a wide variety of dips, sauces, salamis,crackers plus assorted paraphernalia which add to any cheese and wine experience! Just add a favourite local wine and be all set to go on that summer picnic. BTW, The cheese is tasty and medal deserving!

My fiancee and I came by to try some cheeses and see what the shop had to offer. This is a cute place, but very small with the majority of their items for sale being jams and preserves. Seems to be an attraction designed for tourists
