I don’t often write reviews but feel that we have had a very different experience to many on here.

We went yesterday, Friday 24 May, and had a great day - myself and two children aged 12 and 10. I bought three of the express pass 10 and although it was busy there was barely any queueing with these passes. There were lots of Spanish schoolchildren on a day out but we saw only a handful queue jump - no more than I’ve seen at Alton Towers or Chessington.

As I am a single parent I bought myself an express pass too, even though I knew I wouldn’t be going on any of the scary rides as I was not sure how it would work with getting my children on the rides with their express pass. I didn’t need to and would say save your money if you’ve no intention of riding. I just scanned the passes on my phone with the attendant at the start of each ride and then walked back to meet them by the photo booths at the end of each ride.

We got into the park at 1030 and by 1130 they had done 4 of the biggest rollercoasters. If you are only visiting for the day I think the passes are worth the extra cost. By the end of the day my children had been on every ride they wanted to go on, apart from Uncharted. The passes get you on most big rides - but not Uncharted which had a big wait and eventually shut due to a tech issue.

My only negative is the lack of staff around. Bar those manning the rides (and on some of the smaller rides there is only one person doing everything) we didn’t seen anyone around the park.

All in all it was very positive for us and a great day out 👍🏻

This trip could have been great only for the crowds, I have never been in a more crowded place before.
Firstly it cost 4 of us 2 young kids 196e
We were told we should buy fast access to rides which would double the cost. Not a chance as what I paid was already ridiculous considering i was only going for the kids.
I'm really happy I didnt as those that bought fast passes waited up to an hour anyway.
Some of the rides were a 3 hour wait.
Plus the ones we managed to get on were not long at all, some seemed under 1 minute.
I think we managed 5 rides, my 7 year old didn't want to wait for an hour to get on a ride which is fair enough.
There were alot of school tours on.
Whomever runs this place is very badly organized. Maybe it should be closed to only tour days but caps should definitely be put on numbers it shows you care about people enjoying the facilities and not just money.
Even the shops and cafes had massive queues due to not much staff being on. They would have an idea of busy time and should bring in more staff on those days.
The food was very basic but costly.
Major waste of money, but I'm sure would have been more enjoyable if not so packed.

This place is such a con, I would not go here again. Everything about this place is set up to cost you more and more money. When you look at the leaflets, it appears it is only around 64 euros per person, that is if you book online or with the kiosks on the beach front, if you don't it will cost you 84 euros each, so be aware of this. I arrived first thing and all the main rides already had crazy estimated queue times of 1 to 2 hours wait, just to ride them, by the looks of it, these times are made up, just to push you into buying express passes for an extra 55 euros each, which I ended up being pressured into this because of the wait time, only to discover on some of the rides, the estimated wait time was made up and even with the express pass, I was getting on near enough the same time as people who had not paid for the express passes, fair enough the big rollercoasters had big queues and this was a bonus to be able to walk right on but it was only for two of the big rides, the rest of the crazy estimated times were made up in my opinion to encourage you to buy the express passes.
The biggest joke was the water rides, these rides soak you through, people don't want to have to walk around with wet clothes and trainers, so instead of offering you a poncho or something for free as part of the experience, you have to pay an extra 8 euros each to stop yourself getting a soaking, you should be issued a poncho for free, they also try and pressure you into buying phone protector covers for a further 4 euro's each. They also have walk in fans for you to dry off in but no, these are not free either, they cost 2 euros to dry off, from a ride you had already paid to go on, what a joke. The food and drink is as expected way over priced, they also charge you an extra euro for your drinking cup and tell you to bring back to get the euro back, knowing full well that many people are not going to queue back up to get their refund as the food queues can get long, I just walked back to the front of the queue and got some strange looks as I explained I was just giving my cup back. So this is another money making scheme to get extra out of you. The park itself is confusing, especially the map as you can never work out where you are and just seem to always be walking in the wrong direction.
Three times I went to go on rides, only to be told there was an issue and had to get off them, felt sorry for the people who had been queuing up for these rides.
I was in the park for seven hours, due to how vast it is and the confusing map, I only used my express pass five times, was turned a way from two rides that offered express pass option, be aware that not all the popular rides have an express option, that is also another con.
The taxi from my hotel was 8 euro's, the taxi from the them park taxi rank, cost 16 euro, so again another con.
I had paid to do both parks in one day but just Port Aventura was enough and so expensive, the express passes I had bought, could not be transferred to Ferrari world, so was so worn out from the experience and had paid so much extra, that just decided not to go to Ferrari world.
Personally would not recommend this theme park as it is one big con, they just want you to spend more and more.

Not gonna write a long review.

This is a must if your visiting solou and for all ages.

The fast passes cost around 100 euro each but we'll worth the money if you have a teenager like I did and was able to go on the roller coasters without queuing, so was able to go on and off as much as we liked and we did each one about 5 times.

Great shows also check time of show and plan.

Worst amusement park we've ever been to. long queues everywhere, while it is not even busy (busy calendar indicates quiet). Minimum 1.5-2 hour wait per attraction. 5 attractions done all day. The operation of this park is really too sad for words. Everything goes slowly. You get the idea that the revenue model is to sell as many fast passes as possible. And even that works quickly. After purchasing them, the email that should contain the tickets does not work. You guessed it, to get this resolved we also had to stand in line. If you're hesitating about going, don't. What a great park.

Ferrari Land was great. It was quiet, small and the Thrill Towers and Acrobat Show were amazing. Girl at the ride was saying "Dos" which means she was looking for 2 riders so we got to skip 5 people in front of us who wanted to ride together so that was excellent. Red Force was closed so only spent 2 hrs there. Thought it would be quiet in May but it wasn't due to school trips of Spanish kids. Was wondering why we were in a queue when we had already purchased tickets but it was a bag check. All we had were waist bags with our phone for the app and so we could txt each other when separated. Port Adventura Park was only open 10.30 until 6pm so Monday 6 May: day 1: we got onto 3 things. Tuesday got on 4 things. By the way, El Paso and Caribe hotel - you do not get in early. Arrived 10.15am and headed straight to Uncharted and must have got on the ride about 12pm. Kids screaming and pushing and shoving us (I had just had my camcorder stolen the day before so I was really depressed). Woman at the ride was talking to me in Catalan (I speak Spanish so I knew it wasn't Spanish) I got flustered but realised she was saying to put our waist bags on the shelf. When we eventually got on the ride it was amazing. Was trying to tell the staff that one adult was waiting with a child and he had been in the queue for 1hr with us and he wanted to child swap and take his turn. Took another 20 minutes for someone to come and talk to us in English. El Fuego was open (in May had been told it is only open in the summer). The best Rollercoasters were either closed or 50 minute queue so we could not go on them due to having a child who didn't want to go on anything and a parent who would have to wait with him. Managed to coerce him to go on Sesame Street and we all loved that and Angkora too. Then the app said everything was closed at that was it, the day was over. Didn't get on Dragon Khan, Shambala or Red Force so we were very disappointed.

The seven members of my family have been in PortAventura from May 9 to 11, staying at the El Paso Hotel. On both the 9th and the 10th there were such a large number of people that at the most popular attractions the queues were between 2 and 3 hours, even reaching 4 at Shambala or at Ferrari's Red Force; There were a lot of French people in the park, it seems that there were school holidays in France and that can explain it, but it does not justify keeping people waiting for an incredible amount of time to ride an attraction. I suppose that everything would be solved by limiting the capacity more on the days when the Organization knows that there will be more influx of public. Here it is about either making a lot of money or people leaving satisfied and it seems that the management of PortAventura clearly chooses the former, I would call it “business immorality”. I have to say that they must have been embarrassed and those two days they extended the park's hours by an hour, but that did not alleviate the anger and disappointment that we had been accumulating.
Given our desperation, we decided to buy express passes for Saturday the 11th, the last day of our stay, at €54 per person (a total of 378 euros that must be added to the payment we had already made for the tickets when making the reservation), passes that They are offered very slyly as they allow the waiting time at the attractions to be much shorter.
PortAventura's motto should be: “pay a lot more if you want to enjoy it and, if not, get pissed off”

Present in the park the weekend of the ascent. Just one word, horrible. Ladies and gentlemen, Port Aventura managers, I came 6 years ago, and I remember the express passes being for single riders, profit above all else. I invite you to take a flight to Orlando to copy Universal Studios in queue management. Your copy needs to be reviewed completely. Considering the money you collect, you can easily afford it.
A parallel port adventure normal file and express pass.
Universal studios file normal, child swap, single riders. I am attaching a photo of the dragon khan express pass line at 11:00 a.m., 30 minutes after the park opens, knowing that it takes 15 minutes to reach the attraction at the end of the park. It speaks for itself, and this on all the big rides.
I won't talk about repeated breakdowns.....
Choose your venue wisely. Personally if I come back, it will no longer be on weekends, bridges etc.....

This park is a disgrace! Monster traffic jams on 08/05 due to all the terminals breaking down to access the car park. And the worst thing is that they had the good idea of putting 1 employee to pay by credit card for each car, 1 device 1 employee for 3 to 4 lines of cars. Disorganization in the park, the employees are unpleasant. Competitors have nothing to worry about!

I give 2 stars because some attractions make up for this fiasco (Furious Baco, Shamballa, Red Force Ferrari and two others) which are full of sensations. Otherwise the Port Aventura Park is dirty (paper on the ground in and out of the attraction queue, can in the bushes visible to everyone including even the "cleaning" team) during the queues announced on the application are incorrect (50 minutes announced real time 2h15). To say that we were in a low period???. Very poor organization of the teams on certain attractions which therefore accounts for part of the delay. Staff not present in the information booths to take an Express Pass??. We ourselves had to inform other French people to explain how the pass works and the different prices! No staff in the Park to guide or explain! Attractions often broken down (shamballa, dragon kan, Furious Baco, street mission etc...). If you take the Express pass it is mentioned that if the attractions which are listed on the pass are closed, they are replaced by others, this is false and there is no way of knowing that this attraction replaces the one closed since there is no staff in the Park as I have already been able to say. Hotel side... the worst of the stay, the sofa with stains, the soap dish sideways, traces in the bathtub, the carpet in the corridors all stained, the panels which does not indicate your room... (We were in room 1085.... Look for the room in the attached photo). The list is long (see photo). The reception which tells you that you have privileged access to the Ferrari Park 1 hour before opening to the public when that is false lol.....All this for a 4 star hotel... It's not worth it at all if not for the outdoors and swimming pools. As for catering, do not take half board which is really not worthy of a four star but of a beachside tavern (and again I have had very good ones!) In short I had the impression and feeling that this Park was completely abandoned. To this day I do not recommend this Park which gives the impression of only wanting our money. If Port Aventura reads my comment I remain open to discussion and various examples and photos. Sincerely
