In my short time as a diver Leagues Ahead Diving are hands down the best centre I have dived with so far. A slick, but wholeheartedly friendly operation. Myself and my boyfriend dived 11 times with them. Mostly with Paulo as our Dive Master. Very friendly and relaxed and an amazing eye for wildlife. James, one of the owners, a consummate professional who you immediately feel at ease with both in and out of the water. And Sophie holding everything together back at the dive centre. Her attention to detail, customer and kit care are second to none. This team genuinely made us feel like one of the family. I know the reviews are used to award the L.A.D of the month so I’ll end with this…Paulo, Paulo, Paulo! 🙌✌️

Leagues Ahead Diving is Literally Miles ahead in their way of teaching and their level of commitment to YOU having a great time.
They love people & they love diving and this shows in everything that they do, From picking you up at your hotel, providing you with snacks in between dives and always having a great story to tell.
They've showed me great dive sites, taught me things about diving I didn't know and were able to introduce me to new life underwater.
I wish I could give more stars <3

Amazing experience! We got a warm welcome from
Sophie. James and Emille where great teachers, they definitely took the time to make sure we where all comfortable and informed for our very first dive. I recommend this diving school for beginners and experienced divers!

I wholeheartedly recommend snorkeling and diving with Leagues Ahead Diving. All of the instructors I had (Sophie, Emil, and Kyle) are caring and attentive. They do their best to make you feel safe and comfortable in the water.
I originally planned just one day of snorkeling, but that quickly turned into an additional day of snorkeling. I had so much fun that chose to do my very first scuba dive with them as well.
The instructors will take you to the spots with best conditions for the day. The water was very clear all three days I went (in April). I saw damsel fish, parrot fish, mullets, moral eel, trumpet fish, arrow crabs, barracuda, sea cucumbers, fire worms, and several other types of sea life.
They provide a wet suit, so no worries about getting sunburned.

Good choice for a try dive. Went with my daughter, and the team picked a nice gentle beach dive, with a good dive profile. Kyle the instructor did a really good job looking after her under water and she was thrilled to see a juvenile octopus towards the end of the dive!

What a splendid experience! I can't recommend Leagues Ahead Diving enough. From the jump, Sophie expertly coordinated a unique dive experience for my wife and I on our honeymoon. My wife has never been scuba diving before, while I have my Open Water cert.
Sophie catered to our needs an experience and booked us for two dives. The first was a beginner shore dive from the lovely beach of Tufia, a short drive away from the dive center. Our dive master, Paulo, expertly communicated dive theory and safety to my wife, who was a little nervous going into the experience. Paulo put my wife at ease, and she and I enjoyed a safe, fun dive together.
Afterward, my wife hung out on the lovely black sand beach while Paulo and I did Dive 2 together. We were able to go deeper, and we saw even more beautiful wildlife. I was able to interact with a playful octopus, which is an experience I'll remember and cherish for a long time!
The entire operation is well -run, friendly, safe, and a great value. Thank you very much for making this experience on our honeymoon so memorable!

Very pleasant experience from first moment of contact through WhatsApp with Sophie to the refresher and fun dive with Kyle.
We didn’t dive for about 10 years, but through the explanation and guidance from Kyle it felt as we never quit!
Highly recommended if you’re looking for diving on the island.

I cannot remember leagues ahead diving enough. This was my second time diving with them on holiday and will not be the last!
Sophie is very quick to get back to you and gives you plenty options for different diving and dates. I had everything organised weeks before I arrived.
After my refresher with kyle last year I have taken up diving at home aswell.
Then had 3 really good dives with James and Kyle this year.
Now I'm looking to book my next holiday so I can return.

Hi. We're thinking of trying scuba diving although my wife has never done it before I have got some experience from years ago do we have to book before we arrive on the island or can we do it whilst there?

Hello Ata, Congratulations on completing your Open Water course! I am thrilled you enjoyed your experience and it was so great to see you progress to such an awesome diver!
We do complete diving tours. As you are now a qualified diver, it is 80 euros for two dives. We would collect you from your hotel at 9:30am and drop you back at approximately 2:30 pm.
Included in the price is full CRESSI equipment, snacks and refreshments, complimentary hotel transfers and a fully qualified PADI instructor.

Can you tell me what the difference is between snorkling and scuba diving? just that my husband said about going snorkling and I'm looking at maybe scuba diving instead if it is better. The other problem though is my husband is asthmatic, although he hasn't had to use any inhalers for quiet sometime now apart from when he had a really bad cold. I on the other hand, had a heart attack back in 2005 but on meds ever since, I am also diagnoses with Fibro & slight hip dysplacia, would any of these be a problem for me to be able to scuba dive? Also, how much is it for snorkling as I'm only seeing price for scuba diving. Thank you and hopefully get to meet between 14th & 24th June :) this will also be our 8th wedding anniversary on 18th and the honeymoon we never got along with my husband's first ever holiday abroad from Northern Ireland :) but my 2nd time since 2001/2002 in Playa Del Ingles :)

Something such as a heart attack will require a medical from the doctor who will say if you are medically fit to dive, there are complications with asthma and heart conditions. I can email you the medical form if you wish to take to your doctor, or we have a doctor available in Gran Canaria.
