This is in the Hill Country and was settled by German migrants in the mid-1800s. Many of the traditions persist, including the great food. The countryside is beautiful, and the people are friendly. Well worth a visit.

We stayed in’s New Braunfels for a month. Very friendly city. Enjoyed our visit. Lots of music and restaurants.

Quedamos encantados con la visita a este pueblo y seguramente volveremos a recorrer lo más detalladamente. Muy diferente a otros pueblos cercanos. Vale la pena caminar sus calles

There’s a lot to do in New Braunfels TX!! But make sure to visit the Hill Country Craft Beer Fest. We have not missed one since visiting here . Typically, it’s held in the Spring. Adults , only . 21 & over. Great Music to go along with the crafted beer . If you don’t like beer , there’s also crafted alcoholic cider (my favorite). Friendly place, lots of space and organized parking. Fabulous eats too !! Looking forward to Spring 2023 event !

Fun little town outside of San Antonio that is worth walking and having something to eat. We were there for the wine and bier walk which made people watching even more fun!

We stayed in New Braunfels for a long weekend. Visited Guadalupe River State Park, Gruene, San Marcos, Driftwood and two of the New Braunfels city parks. Plenty of outdoor stuff to do here. Day trips in all directions as well.

Lots of shops for walking around. Even teh oldest Backerei in Texas. Street crossing are designed for making walking safe.

Ok it's a tourist zone. River rafting shopping nearby and the food. It's a crossroads of many things to do from the rafting to some excellent cuisine. plan your vacation accordingly.

Loved our relaxing trip here for a long weekend. Water was pretty and everything was nice and green. Would be better for floating the river if it had more rain recently (lots of low places for your tube to get stuck). But still enjoyable!

We stayed at the Hilton Garden Inn in New Braunfels...Great staff, nice pool and convenient to all the local attractions. The price was pretty reasonable as well. We found the food to be ...meh...so you might want to look elsewhere for that (lots of good alternatives nearby).

We stayed at the Marriot Courtyard on the Guadalope River and would highly recommend this hotel. As to activities in New Braunfels, the big attraction is the water park if that is your interest. Also Guerne is a quaint town with antique shops and restaurants.
