I took my grandson and my 2 great grandsons to the museum yesterday. The boys had a great time with the hunt for certain animals provided at the beginning. The displays are absolutely amazing. I wanted to reach out and touch the animals, but had been warned against that at the beginning. Well worth a special trip for a day adventure. This is free for children under 12 and more than worth the $5 for adults.

This museum is a gem for Texoma! Such a huge variety of animals. It’s actually a lot more involved and larger than it seems from the outside.
Only 6 years old, it is packed with wildlife from all over the world. Nicely organized into different continents. The kids LOVED our visit. Where else in Sherman can you come face to face with wild animals from other continents and see details of how they eat & their various habitats?
The youngest was concerned about the ethical part of hunting animals, so we asked the docent to explain it to us. He told us details of how conservation works and the benefits of big game hunting.
We had an amazing time! Thank you to the Harbor family for sharing your adventures with the community!

This museum was very enjoyable. We had great service and the employee provided us with a lot of information. All of the exhibits looked really realistic and were very interesting. The scavenger hunt was very fun and provided us with a lot of information. This was a very great place to visit for a low price!! You don’t want to miss out!

I took my two grandsons here on a recent visit. Outside weather didn’t allow any outdoor activities, so we thought we would check out the museum. The boy had a great time looking at all the animals and trying to answer all the questions on the “quiz “. Great place for an hour to hour and a half visit

This is great place to see wildlife up close. This is a great collection of all types in there habitat.greatly laid out by regions. A must see when your in the area.

This experience was perfect for our hot summer day! It was inside two air-conditioned, large rooms and several smaller exhibit areas.The animals were well-placed according to their environment and continents, and the scenery was reflective of their respective habitats. While the animals were displayed very close to each other, it didn't affect the enjoyment of my two elementary friends who chose to participate in the animal scavenger hunt (perfect age!). To get to see real, taxidermied animals that close was really an adventure for them (even though no one was to touch them)! There was a movie room, but we chose to admire the animals instead!

What an amazing experience. It is one of the best museums I have ever been to, due in part to the realism and the overall experience. We had young grandkids. They loved it. They learned a lot and the game of trying to find the animals was fun for them and us! We enjoyed it too. How often do kids get to see these animals up close?

It's a great place to take the family, it doesn't cost anything, but they do ask for donations. There is large, and small creature to look at. They gave us a scavenger sheet, and we found things that I don't think we would have otherwise. The staff is friendly and has stories to tell.

Visited the museum with my 2 year old grandson and he was so excited to see the animals. I can't wait to go back with my seven year old granddaughter and even look forward to going by myself.

My mom took me to this museum, along with my sister and her family, while I was down on vacation. It is filled with beautiful animals and only cost $5 per person and kids under 12 are free. They do play animal sounds through out the museum, which we were told that it has scared some kids but my sister's kids were fine. If you are in the Sherman, TX area, it is worth the stop.
