This is a great free activity for families. You get up close with the alpacas and learn a lot about them from the owner. While meeting the alpacas is free, you will may want to spend some money in their little gift shop on alpaca yarn, apparel, etc., so budget for that if it’s something that interests you. We very much enjoyed our visit and got some great pictures.

Ed & Deb are fantastic... so fully of excitement and information regarding their alpaca farm.
To our amazement, after we were lead to the barn -really clean barn! - Ed opened the pen and let the female alpacas walk among us. These gentle love-able animals were fascinating. They would nudge you for a pet. As we pet and enjoyed the alpacas, Ed provided a wealth of knowledge regarding all things alpaca.
Next we moved to the quaint gift shop with reasonably priced handmade items and yarns.
The next stop was the on site mill, where Deb explained the process of making alpaca wool into yarn. The large windows offered peeks into the process.
Very interesting stop. Far more than just seeing alpacas. Stop & visit... you won’t be disappointed.

These people have done it right. The place is clean, well organized and visitor friendly. But more than just seeing the alpacas this place produces the best yarn and yarn products in New England. We have had our fleeces processed here for many years and have always been extremely satisfied with the results. Their knowledge and dedication to producing a superior product shows in everything they do.

Ed & Deb have created an idealic eco-system for their alpaca farm. The animals are so adorable! It was an extra treat to meet a couple of the babies. Ed was generous with his time and sharing information about the animals and the farm. The farm is beautiful and clearly well run. The yarn and goods in the shop are high quality and great gifts.

There's a lot of love and respect here. The owner was welcoming and radiated a passion for the land, the animals, and making a difference in the world. The alpacas here are very well cared for. The idyllic property is expansive, clean, and solar powered! They also have a mill on-site and make amazing textiles from the alpaca fiber there. (Some are available for sale in the gift shop.)

This stop is very picturesque and the owners are very kind. We toured their facilities and taught how the wool to cone to finished product is accomplished. We toured their fields and visited their alpacas. They even have a mini gift shop.

The hosts bend over backward to tell you what you need to know and allow you to get up close for pictures. There is wonderful merchandise to buy, but not pushed onto you.

We visited on a Saturday. Ed was very informative and answered all of our numerous questions. Alpacas came right up to us. Ed also gave us a tour of the mill. No pressure to buy anything at the store (though most of us did buy something).
