Yes, we offer cross-country ski trips in two formats (please see the detailed descriptions and pricing on our Inn to Inn website): 1 The "Wild Cat" is probably closest to what you are envisioning, with backcountry (ungroomed trail) skiing, and your car and luggage advanced each morning with the assistance of your breakfast innkeeper. On the Wild Cat, you do two days of connecting this way and then use the backcountry trails at Nordic centers for another day, two, or three (your preference). The Wild Cat is best-suited for experienced skiers. 2 Our more popular format is the "Touring Cat" in which you get a day pass to a different touring center each day from each inn. The Nordic centers have a mix of groomed and ungroomed trails and are suitable for skiers of all abilities from beginner to expert. You use your car to connect between breakfast inn and touring center and touring center and dinner inn each day. We would suggest our "Vermont Classic" inn to inn cycling tour, which is 4 overnights at classic country inns and 4 days of safe, scenic cycling between them on well-vetted routes. Most dates in late June and early July are still available, except for Monday arrivals. If would be most helpful if you would consider submitting the brief "Reservations" form or the even briefer "Contact us" form located at the top of any page of our website so we may understand your preferences for your tour (riding distances, etc.). Hello there. Green Mountain Bikes is the top-notch bike shop that provides all of our clients' rentals. Their bikes always put a smile on our guests' faces, and are truly customized to your tastes (thin-tire road bikes / hybrids / mountain bikes / pedals for bike shoes / handlebar configurations / comfort seats / etc), but many folks just bring their own familiar bikes with them. If bringing your own bike, be sure it is in good repair, and don't forget your helmet, water bottles, and spare tube(s), mini-pump, adjustment kit, lock, etc.. Feel free to call the bike shop directly at (802) 767-4464 for specific questions about brands, etc., available during your visit. Tell them you are on a tour with Inn to Inn, and they will know what kinds of routes you'll be riding, as well as the delivery/pickup routine. Bringing your own bikes or renting is a matter of your personal preference and convenience. Perhaps half of our cyclists each season rent, and the other half bring. The tour can be taken safely and comfortably either on your own bikes or on rentals.
