The experience could be improved by getting rid of the rude employee that we encountered. We walked in and she was standing at the bar with her hands on her hips, not smiling. There wasn’t a soul in sight other than her and she finally asked “can I help you with something?” I asked about the tastings and the restaurant. She pointed to where people were eating and said “that’s the restaurant. There’s where you’d do tastings. And there’s a bakery in the back but it’s closed.” And then nothing. We turned and walked out. She immediately followed behind us. Apparently her shift was over and she didn’t want to be bothered with us. Will NOT go back. Pictures online are nothing like reality.

Awful. It was supposedly open as the doors were but there wasnt a soul in sight. Nor was any tasting going on. We literally walked in and walked out after driving around to check it out!

We've been by to visit this place a couple of times now and just love the cider tasting and the restaurant across from it. Super firendly staff and easy relaxed setting.

Très bien mangé! Même rencontré une serveuse très sympathique et qui m'a parlé français... J'espère y retourner bientôt.

We had been wanting to try this place since it opened, now that we have, we won't be going back. I thought the menus were a joke, they were HUGE! I don't mean they had a lot of items, I mean the menu itself was large, when I held it, I couldn't see the people I was sitting with! We ordered, and found out if you remove the fries and bun from your burger and add on a side salad, that would cost you an additional $3.50 making my burger and small salad with small soda $18+! Another at our table ordered fried chicken, which came out looking like overdone chicken tenders, only to find out they do not have or offer dipping sauce...say what? That person had a coffee with her meal, asked for a warm up on her coffee during the meal and was told they charge for each cup... that was a first for me, every restaurant I have ever been to charge for first cup of coffee, not the second. One of the workers was going table to table showing magic tricks. The tables were sticky to the touch, leaving us to think they were dirty, it was explained to us it's the paint on them, they washed our tables and yes, made it worse. Not enjoyable having your sleeves stick to a restaurant table... feels gross. Not an enjoyable evening.

Superb selection of Vermont products from cheese to baked goods, There is also a very nice restaurant, the Ciderhouse Bar and Grille, an ice cream shop, a cafeteria and often special exhibits from maple, cheese or cider makers

The Tasting Center is comprised if several entities: a wonderful Bistro, serving one of the best hamburgers I've had IMHO); a made-from-scratch bakery; sought out by locals; a home made ice cream counter run as a nonprofit to support the empowerment of disadvantaged women, and an option for wine and cheese tasting. Don't miss this chance to experience the Kingdom in a nutshell,

...about Vermont, about how cider is made, about how the cheeses are made, about the sustainability of the agrarian economy in the state.....from Amy at the Tasting Center. She must have spent 20-30 minutes with me explaining about many of their products and how they get from farm to final product. It was fascinating, she answered every single question knowledgeably, and I learned a lot.
There were samples out of half a dozen types of cheeses and they were hosting a goat farmer soon who makes some of their cheeses. They had cider tasting, but I opted to just buy a bottle to take home and try later.
There was a bakery, a maple shop, a gelato shop, a coffee shop, and a restaurant, but I didn't really take time to check any of them out.
Worth the visit!

Everything here is locally made, so it has a home made feel to it and everything tasted amazing! The service is also wonderful

Based on some of the previous reviews, we thought that this might be a special stop. Unfortunately, the name "Tasting Center" is very misleading. The center appears to be comprised of a few vendors that share space (e.g., a bakery, wine and cheese vendor). There was very little to taste and nothing informative. We spent approximately 5 minutes there as we did not eat at the restaurant (which, in fairness, did have a nice crowd).
