Be it art, decorative arts, or crafts, this place is a joint exhibition/sales place for Northeast Kingdom artisans. Clocks, pottery, weavings, jewellery — all that kind of stuff and more is on display in this large, bright, cheerful spot in the middle of town. Prices are not that outrageous. For this sort of place, quality and selection are good. Better than average, yet short of spectacular.

I was blown away by all the beautiful objects created by local talent. Rather than a quick ho-hum-we'll-stop-in, both my husband and I enjoyed browsing the entire shop to admire everything for over an hour. The downstairs gallery of photographs taken by Vermont students was astounding - I highly recommend everyone, local and tourist, take a good look at the creativity of the young photographers. We both enjoyed talking at length with the attendant in the shop on the first floor as well as the gallery downstairs. It's wonderful to see that the arts are thriving!

A neat place to visit while in Newport, a lovely selection of local artists work, along with a large varity of "What to get for someone" special gift.
The center as well sells tickets to local events, plays, VSO, etc..etc..

Art co-ops are the best place to shop.... High quality work locally made. And staffed by one of artists.

Such nice displays of local art in various forms - paintings, photography, jewelry, pottery, etc. On this visit, I bought my wife an artisan walking stick. Pleasant atmosphere, easy to browse.

About fifty local artists are showcased in this beautiful and spacious art space. You can find anything from paintings to cutting boards, gift cards, quilts, lovely hand woven bags or shawls. There are also clocks and dioramas, jewelry and a variety of wood crafts. A must-see for anyone visiting Newport.

This is a great space but I was underwhelmed by the art and the products for sale. I can imagine that with a different set of artists, this would be a fun place to go to. I hope they curate some better art because it is a great idea and a nice space right in the middle of town.
