We enjoyed two days of perfect cross country skiing! It was easy to get passes and the trails were well groomed. Friendly staff and skiers and all very Covid cautious.

A hidden gem in the Green Mts. Easy to access. Lots of well-groomed trails and some outer ungroomed trails. Never very crowded even on weekends.

Beautiful trails, friendly staff, delicious food, and bountiful sunshine! Explored a bunch of trails on a fat bike (rented at Rikert—great price for a 1-hr rental of a high-end bike, including helmet). Lot of Nordic skiers out on the trails as well. A must-visit if you you’re in the area and want to get outside for some fresh VT air and exercise!

This is the nicest XC center we have every visited. The trails are wide & beautifully groomed for both classic and skate skiing. The terrain is varied. There are woody hills and open flat fields. The conditions were amazing on all trails we skied. At one point, we had to take a break since the groomer was out ahead of us. they even have snow making on one big loop. Amazing!
The lodge area is small but comfortable with room for your day bag and a place to eat lunch. They have a small amount of food available but I suggest bringing your lunch and snacks.
One recommendation we offer. This place hosts a lot of college and high school races. These races can bring in a lot of people. They were setting up for a big race the day we were there and I am really happy we were not going to be there on race day.
So, go enjoy the trails!

Our group often travelled to Lake Placid and enjoyed Mt Van Hovenberg... Our experience at Rikert was better. The trails are well laid out with few trails with steep climbs or descents... And rarely a steep area descent with sharp turns. Caroline at the desk was pleasant and informative, and helped us in every way. Gave us a great plan around numerous trails - great day!!

Today is the perfect day, and Rikert is the perfect place to be. The sky is blue, and many of the beautiful trails on the extensive network are groomed, or are being groomed. The fresh, new snow has made for fantastic cover and ideal skiing. Everything is all around wonderful!

It was a bluebird day with snow still stuck to trees -- amazing. Staff were very pleasant but once I got onto trails, trying to figure out where I was, especially at all the intersections and with trails that were named but not on the map was tough. Perhaps I should have gotten a tour from the staff -- a different type of lesson?

Our first time after many years absence. Very cordial staff, adequate changing area, quite comfy! Nice small ski shop. Waxing room. Trail grooming was mostly excellent, sometimes the groomer dug up snow on turns leaving a rut, but nothing that couldn’t be handled. Perfect snow overall. A bit hilly, but not super challenging. The race course is super, love the S turns. The race loop is a 5 k loop with man made snow, although not needed in March due to our snowstorms in March.

Had a great time. The trails were sweet, with a little powder on top to carve a turn in. Make sure you check out Gilmore. Beautiful long wide hill that just keeps going.
Out on the Tormondsen course conditions were so nice a friend commented that he felt like a kid again. Racing down the hills throwing in some great turns. The smile on his face told the story. There's plenty of back country too. We took Browngate to Upper Gilmore. Very nice climb to a long decent. Didn't see another solo out there. Very nice. There is terrain for all levels and plenty of it.
Lodge is warm with snacks and beverages The bathrooms are clean. Staff was helpful and polite. Definitely go check this place out!!!!
