I gave them a call this morning to inquire about their packages. Despite them being closed for the season, Laurie was super friendly and answered all of my questions about the surrounding and potential options of places to go on the water or camp. I really appreciated the hospitality and the friendliness well-knowing that there would be no benefit to her or the business

A lovely day on the river!

We had a great time floating on the river. It was well set up - and everyone was friendly. There was no problem taking three children. We had fun, even when we had to walk through the shallow water.

Great time and great people I read another review on here saying not to go and I think whoever wrote that is no to smart

This is a great place to go with some great people anyone who has a bad experience with this place and these people clearly went there with intent to write a terrible review... if you think your gonna go down the river without getting bit by bugs you need to get your head checked! If you didnt tell them its your first time and YOU dont request life jackets that is your own fault!! Reading a few of the reviews on here are way outta line i have been going to this family for my whole life and they are great people and they have an amazing thing going I reccomended that everyone makes a trip here atleast once every summer!!!! If this place isnt fir you bring your own tube to a river and go alone:) but I think the best idea is to go check out this place and take an amazing ride down the river!! Always great times!!!

A true favorite VT pass time!

This has easy become one of our favorite things to do in the "off" season for us in VT. We are avid skiiers in VT and spend a lot of our summer and fall time working on the house. We came across VT River tubing when looking for a new adventure on a day off from working on the house and while its a hike from where we are located in VT the staff is amazingly friendly and the river is just a good time with beers, food and friends! We have returned several times in the last 3 years and are on track to average 2 trips a year now with varying friends and family coming with us!

Fun, relaxing time with friends and nature!

This is a well run business. For $15 you get a big tube, parking, a ride to the beginning and a changing area at the end.
We were told the river was low and slow on the day we were tubing, there would be areas of walking. We decided to go and so glad we did! Yes we needed to walk in a few sections this can’t be blamed on the company. Mother Nature does as she wants. We had long sections of gentle tubing. So relaxing. There are several places you can hop of your tube and swim around. Loved it!
It was great to tube with so many people that were out to have fun! You can pack a cooler with drinks and snacks if you like. You can tie your groups tubes together if you like.
This was my first time. But many of the folks tubing were repeat tubers.
I look forward to doing this again. I would love to try it when the river is a little fast. But you will not be disappointed!!

Perfect way to spend a summer day in our beautiful Vermont!

This was a super fun experience! The staff made everything so easy. (Providing a bathroom and changing rooms at the end was so smart!) The river was "low and slow" but still such fun! Wonderful relaxation, a few fast sections, gorgeous spots to swim in cool crystal clear waters, and lovely beaches on which to picnic and visit. I've lived in VT for 41 years and never done this! I certainly will again. We took four hours and it was just perfect! Thank you, Vermont River Tubing!

What a blast?

Went with two teens. We had so much fun floating down the river. No stress just fun! Some parts got faster and some slow.. Never over our head. We swam some of the time too. Staff super friendly

We go annually and always try to bring new friends along. Every time we've gone we've had a positive experience. We prefer this to the other tubing location nearby- its more professional.
Park your car , walk up to the porch to pay (they used to have you leave your driver's license with them but they stopped doing that last summer) and they will have you follow their van to the parking lot. Leave your keys hidden or take them with you of your comfortable. Hop in the shuttle van (which can get a little crowded depending on how many people need to be shuttled) and you'll take a short ride up along the road to the launching area. Grab a tube and you're good to go. You can stay as long as you want, swim a bit, etc. You'll see the rope area indicating you need to exit. Walk up the ramp, leave your tube and you're free to go!

Nice and relaxing

Signing up and paying was easy, and a few of us bought optional water shoes there for $10. Try to be prepared...bring your own, although I’m not entirely sure we needed them, as it was more slippery than sharp. We took a quick ride from the shop in our own cars to the exit point, then jumped in a van for a two minute drive to the entry point. Everyone was very friendly. The tubing experience itself will depend on the water, but today it was mostly slow, no rapids, and we only had to get out a few times when we got stuck on a rock in shallow areas. There were nice spots to swim or hang out in the shade. Lots of people brought cooler floats, which was a great idea! I found a long stick and steered our rafts along, which was helpful. Put on lots of sunscreen!! It took about three hours, but they say 2-4 in general. We popped out right at a ramp at our car. Oh, bring a waterproof bag for your phone/camera/keys!

Enjoyed a peaceful trip down the river. Excellent location, wonderful hosts and reasonably priced. Highly recommend!
