Beautiful grounds, great wine, good prices. Their tasting hours (right now) are Sunday from 1 to 5. Get there early if there is a food special. They had brought down lobster rolls on the day that I went and they sold out in the first hour. Try the sangria. I had the pomegranate. Out of this world. Treat yourself to the truffles (made by local chocolatier Cocoa Trails Chocolates). You will really enjoy your Sunday afternoon.

I love dry wines, collect wines, and visit wineries when I travel. I wasn’t expecting to like these wines because this doesn’t seem like a prime location for wine grapes , but I was pleasantly surprised. They are only open from 1-5 on Sundays, and the tables fill up fast. The food menu is limited but everything was very good. The wines were really wonderful and I ended up buying 6 bottles. I didn’t need more wine at home, but I couldn’t resist. My favorite was the Old Virginia Red.

Hamlet Vineyards offers one of the best Sunday Brunches around. This has everything: charm in a barn, its own fine vintage wines, and some scrumptious food. The Sunday special (Mexican corn chowder with a side of quesadilla) was flavorfull, rich and filling. And those chocolates served as a "light" dessert... Wow! Be advised it opens at 1 and fills up fast.

This was our first visit and I can’t say enough about how accommodating they are. The tasting terrace is currently under construction and you have to enter through the Barn but no worries. The Tasting Room is well decorated and very comfortable with plenty of space. The wine of course is the main event but the food complements the tasting. We are looking forward to a return trip in the Spring to experience the new terrace and experience the vines budding. We highly recommend Hamlet Vinyards.

What could be better than a beautiful outdoor wine tasting venue? One that’s covered on a rainy day. Hamlet vineyard offers wine tasting, great wines, and delicious appetizers. We tried the bread and 3 spreads. Delicious. We made new friends joining another couple at the rustic style farm house tables.

They have a beautiful old barn that has been updated into a winery. They have parties and meetings. You can buy bottles or just do the taste testing. They grow the grapes right beside the old barn. They don't bottle it there yet but it is done in Virginia.

At first we were taken aback, not going to lie. We felt like we were ignored. People walked past us several times and never said a word. We thought maybe because we had our child with us. We gave it five minutes, and we were so glad we did. We realized that it was two women serving everyone and it was just simply that, insanely busy. The outdoor area was PACKED. We did a tasting and we honestly didn't have one we didn't like our favs were the bottled blonde, the pinot gris, rose (and I dont even normally care for rose!) and the i believe it was magnolia red (the first one in the reds we tried.) We got a bottle of the pinot gris because it had a slightly buttery Chardonnay resemblance. It was perfect. We sat on some nearby couches and chatted with a couple that we met from Danbury. Our daughter played catch for at least an hour with their adorable little winery pup. It ended up being a perfect day. I will say, the owners mother is an absolute delight. She was just the sweetest little thing in the whole world to talk to. We will definitely be back.
