Great experience with friendly and helpful people! We booked at the last minute during a busy time of the fall, but they were still able to accommodate us. The lady I talked to on the phone just two days before actually helped us find a last minute cabin rental just down the street with Damascus Cabin Rentals, which was also really good and much appreciated! If I had one complaint it would only be that the shuttle left a half hour or more later than we were told it would, which kind of threw our timing off a little bit because we actually intended to do the whole trail all the way to Abington. We were unable to do so due to that and also honestly dragging our own feet a little bit once we got out on the trail from White Top on down to Damascus. However, I can't help but thinking that if the shuttle had left on time we might have been able to make the shuttle pick up time in Abington at 3:45pm, but they advised us against attempting it because we got into Damascus a bit late for that on the first leg of the trip. No big deal. Lesson learned anyway. If I had it to do over again, I would have booked their shuttle for twice to White Top for the same day, morning and afternoon, if possible, so we could have experienced the much prettier and much more scenic (and easier, of course!) trip down the Creeper to Damascus. We ventured about 5 miles past Damascus on the way to Abington anyway and it was more difficult because of the slight climb and it wasn't anywhere near as scenic. We might try it another time, though. Either way, great company and the guys that loaded the bikes were very conscientious and took care of our personal bicycles very nicely and the people inside of the bike shop were very nice and very helpful, as well. GREAT selection of souvenirs inside the shop, as well! Thanks!

I have rented from Adventure Damascus several time and the service has always been Fantastic. I really enjoy the stories the Driver tell on the way to the top and they all seem to have different tidbits to tell. The bicycles are top of the line and they even have buggies for our dog!

Super helpful staff and great experience. Rode from white top to Damascus through some beautiful scenery. The bikes were perfect and so was the trip.

When we received our bikes from Adventure Damascus bicycle and outdoor Company , they also gave us a bag with tools and 2 spare intertubes and a great map with all the necessary information for telephone stations, bathrooms and the restaurant Midway. As we were enjoying our beautiful and scenic ride by the River we encountered a couple with flat tire. They had absolutely no tools no extra tires or Maps where they rented their bike. We stopped ,gave them a helping hand and used one of our intertubes to help them get on their way. When we were back from our beautiful venture we told the shopkeeper who was extremely nice that we gave away one of our intertubes. We asked if we could pay him.He said no he was just glad that we stopped to help the couple on our way down.

We found this place to be very unprofessional or at least on the day we was there! They pretty much just gave us bikes and were told this shuttle would be there in 30 minutes! They didn’t tell us anything about the trail or what we were to do and acted as if they didn’t even want to help us at all! We wasn’t told about helmets until I asked about them and then they didn’t even offer to help us pick the correct ones! However the ride and trail was awesome and we plan to do it again soon but not through this place! Very unprofessional!!!

We used Adventure Damascus to shuttle the eight of us to the top of Whitetop Mountain. George, our shuttle driver, kept us entertained the entire way up the mountain and even took our picture. We enjoyed our downhill ride on the beautiful Virginia Creeper Trail.

Hi,
There isn't a place that I know of in Damascus. The nearest place is in Abingdon (about 15 min drive) or Mountain City.
However, you can rent a dog buggy and take your dog with you on the trail. The rental is $19.99
