Chester Gap is probably the smallest of the three wineries that are in that immediate area, but it had the best wine and service of any of them. Our server Chelsea was the best. I like the style of the flights here where they give it to you on a tray with an info card and you can go drink them at your own pace. Oh, and did I mention the view? Yeah, no staring at a parking lot full of kids running around here. A beautiful view of the valley and a small pond! This is also the only winery we actually bought stuff from. A lovely experience.

We got to this winery as it was closing but got to enjoy a glass of wine amidst some amazing views during the fall foliage changing! The staff who helped us were very friendly despite us showing up as they were about to close. We will be back to try this one again the next time we are in the area!

A little off the beaten path, but worth a drive if you're looking for a nice view. Like most of Virginia, we found the wines to be average, but we really enjoyed the Roussanneu white wine the most.

This winery is amazing in so many ways. The wines are fantastic! For white wines, we enjoyed them all but we loved the Chardonnay reserve the most. For the red wines we really liked the wine called The Lighter Side of Red. It’s an every day sipper.
We enjoyed a bottle as we ate the amazing loaded breads. They are so fresh and delicious. We also enjoyed the charcuterie platter.
The service was top notch. Chelsey was friendly and attentive. We reserved a table inside and a welcome sign on the table was a nice touch. The owner/winemaker came by our table and shared his expertise on the wines we were enjoying.
The views are gorgeous!!

Don't miss this lovely property! The wine compliments the spectacular views! Dry reds are normally my go to but here I really enjoyed the Petit Manseng '17 and the Viognier '17 from the $10 wine flight.

Breathtaking views, spaced-out gathering spots, and a few little exploring paths make this a worthwhile winery visit. Full disclosure: Girls' Travel Team adventure landed us at the Idle Hour AirBnB in front of this vineyard, and it's closed during the week, while we were there. However, one of the lovely owners, Travis, hand-delivered a Merlot and Vintner's Red to our group and we were impressed! We can't wait to come back and try all of of the wines during a weekend.

This winery exceeded our expectations. It was one of the most scenic places we’ve visited and the wine was very good as well! Definitely worth a visit if you’re in the area.

So glade we made this stop on the way to our room! Wine was great especially likes the crisp whites and mules red wine! Small bits for purchase but the environment was the best ever - we could have stayed into the evening if they stayed open! Fire pits and seating along the hill outside with to die for views! Great place for special occasions and relaxing time with friends! Don”t miss it!

We were unsure what to expect in visiting during the Covid times we find ourselves in today. We sat on the lovely deck and drank in both the views and a chilled bottle of wine. How nice to just relax and enjoy the day. Our server was friendly and made some great wine and cheese suggestions. This is a must go back to place next time we are in the area!

Chester Gap is one of my favorite wineries in the Shenandoah area. The setting can't be beat and the wine is quite good too. My friends and I sat out in the back with our glasses of wine looking out over the mountains and we were in heaven. It was one of the highlights of our girls' weekend for sure.
