The displays are informative and moving. It’s evident that great care and research went into creating them. Just being able to go into a building that served as headquarters for Jackson was a treat. We loved the cafe as well! The cherry almond scone and the London fog latte were so delicious!! We will definitely be back. (In fact, we went twice in one trip!)

This is not a huge museum and will not take you long to walk through. But it’s worth a stop to read the story boards about the Civil War events in New Market, pick up some brochures for other local attractions, shop at the gift shop and have coffee in the little restaurant.

Among other things throughout its history, this building was once the headquarters of Gen. Stonewall Jackson. It is worth a quick stop if you’re in the area (less than two miles from New Market Battlefield) and inside there is a small gift shop as well as a coffee shop; on the walls are enlarged historical photos and placards with some interesting info on the house and other related topics.

The Chamber of Commerceis located in this building as well as a small shop with really nice soaps etc. made locally. i enjoyed shopping there with some of the unique items in the shop. There is also a lovely small place to eat with homemade scones,cakes etc. that are delicious. The service here is also great. I highly recommend visiting this Center.

We popped in here to the visitors center and the little store. The visitors center made a great recommendation, since we had a little one, to visit the Route 11 chip factory down the road and even called to confirm they were cooking that day. The gift shop was cute and had some nice stuff. They gave my daughter a coloring book and crayons, which was sweet of them.

This historic house is pretty much the only thing to see in downtown New Market. It is home to a small orientation center, a gift shop and the Jackson's Corner Cafe. The historic information is posted on Shenandoah Valley Battlefield placards and are throughout the ground floor of the house. Some are not in the most advantageous place to read without being in someone's way. They also have a small theater where you can watch Gods and Generals. Nice stop for info and also for a light lunch.
