Its spire was destroyed on 9 July 1944 by a British Navy shell aimed at German forces, and has since been rebuilt , its interior is a mixture of Gothic to Renaissance architecture .

Elle est bien discrète cette église avec son intérieur assez dénudé. Ici, pas de profusion d'œuvres d'art religieux, ou si peu, ce qui n'est pas habituel dans la majorité des églises catholiques.

Eglise St Pierre is a small church I visited during a tour while on a repositioning Holland America cruise in April 2018. It's located in a quaint town near the D-Day museum/tourist area. I happened upon it when walking around. See photo's!

Om 7 uur luidt de klok 7 maar. ( de rijd) daarna 3 maal lang, 3 maal kort, 3 maal lang. (S.O.S.) daarna geen de klokken uitbundig luiden. Waarom om 7 uur s.o.s.?
