This building dominates the main central area of Frigiliana as it is set on higher ground and is imposing, in it's own right, due to it's size compared to others in the town.
It is a sugar cane factory, with some history behind it, that is open to visitors occasionally but not when we were in town.

This place is only open one day a year, and it definitely wasn’t the day we visited! Pity, it looked very interesting and we really wanted to see inside. Opening arrangements are not clear at all.

Nos habian dicho que este pueblo era bonito pero ha superado nuestras expectativas. Calles y callejones decorados con macetas, casas todas pintadas de blanco, muchas fuentes en todo el recorrido y pequeñas tiendecitas. Recomiendo acercarse a la oficina de turismo para que así te marquen el recorrido principal, pero lo chulo es perderse porque en cada calle encuentras algo especial. Visita obligada

Este edificio sobresale del resto de edificaciones por su monumentalidad. Fue el palacio de los señores de Frigiliana. En la actualidad es una fábrica de miel de caña. Una pena no poder visitar su interior.

This large old building marks the entrance to the beautiful village of frigiliana. There is a small cafe there for refreshments and souvenir shop.

Este enorme edificio, si se compara con el resto, fue construido a finales del S. XVI, es una casa solariega de estilo renacentista. Es el palacio de los Condes de Frigiliana.
Destaca por su extensión, amplitud,... del resto de edificaciones del pueblo, pero hay que añadir que está un tanto "dejada" , descuidada, en especial sus alrededores y la parte trasera.
En la actualidad, y tras obras de remodelación, en esta mansión se fabrica MIEL DE CAÑA, única en Europa.
