Went to see The Searchers Experience with Spencer James at this venue.
Everything about it was excellent. Easy to book, easy to park and the staff very friendly. Excellent show but a few empty seats, although it was a wet and windy weekend. If you are local to this venue, pop along and use it . You will not be disappointed.

Amazing Amazing! Absolutely fantastic everyone involved with the show was brilliant.
Best show I’ve seen in ages just right to start the Christmas season not surprising it was a sell out.
Gorgeous venue too.

I came to the Prince of Wales to see 90s Live tonight. I wasn't sure what kind of night it'd be given it was all seated, but there was a great vibe and it didn't stop the truly determined from throwing some shapes in the aisles.
From what I could find, the parent company Entertainers specialise in tribute acts from Simon and Garfunkel to Queen to the Bee Gees. And entertain they did tonight, this pack of Duracell bunnies put on a fantastic show and not once did the energy drop. Some tributes were conspicuous by their absence but to be fair to the band, 1) it's hard to fit an entire decade into one two-hour show and 2) an equivalent/'competitor' to that 90s artist would be in the lineup. For example, no Steps but we did have an S Club song, no Christina Aguilera tribute but we did have a Britney one, etc. There really was something for every 80s and 90s kid in there and nobody felt left out. There were younger faces there too which was great to see.
As for the theatre itself, I've attended several performances (mostly panto) at the Prince of Wales over the past 30 years, and it's always had a retro charm which I've got a bit of a soft spot for. Dark wood panelling on the walls, starry-sky lighting effects above the red curtains in the theatre, a narrow staircase leading you to the traditional foyer and bar, even the signage on the walls likely hasn't been changed since the 80s. Fitting for tonight, eh?! Everything was clean and tidy which is the main thing, no complaints here. The staff were friendly and helpful, many of them volunteer to be there and ensure everyone stays safe and has a good experience. Soft drinks at the Theatre Bar were very reasonably priced, and in the foyer by the toilets you can get hot drinks such as tea and coffee.
There's no parking on-site but the building is slap-bang in the middle of the town centre so easily accessible. The Beecroft Road car park, bus station and the taxi rank are five minutes' walk away each, and there's enough room on the road outside reception for you to be dropped off and picked up if needed. If you're after more substantial refreshments, the Saleem Bagh Indian restaurant and the Podge and Tin are two good restaurants for a sit-down meal nearby, or there's a McDonalds over the road if you're after something quicker.
To conclude, a brilliant evening was had by all at 90s Live. We danced, we laughed, we screamed, we were likely all in bed by half 11 (I know I was). I really must check local theatre websites more often!

I wasn't really looking forward to this evening after watching The Northern Soul last night at the Proms on BBC
WOW, WOW, WOW...... WHAT A NIGHT, FAR, FAR,FAR BETTER THAN THE LAST NIGHT AT THE PROMS. ALL THE SINGERS WERE SO SSOOSSOOUULLFFUULL. THE REAL STAR OF THE SHOW WAS THE BLACK GUY IN THE SUN GLASSES, GOD COULD HE SING AND GOD COULD HE DANCE.

We booked tickets for The Book of Mormon. The theater was small and full. Our seats were average. The play was hilarious and worth seeing for the first time. The interior of the theater was outdated and could use some remodeling. Overall, it was a fun evening.

Absolutely awful web site been trying to book tickets and didn’t work for either myself or my husband, you obviously don’t want people to book so we haven’t bothered well done the prince of Wales theatre 🙄

A really nice theatre with quality performances to boot. Beyond the Barricades was a great show in a theatre that needs a bit of investment but is full of enthusiastic staff who go above and beyond to make people's nights rewarding.

Visited here for this years Pantomime, whilst it was good I do think that it needs either a change of cast or a change of Pantomime. Definitely needs some new jokes and it’s getting to be very same old several years running.
Booking tickets is now a nightmare since they have changed to skiddle.com. Not the easiest site to navigate and having previous issues with skiddle I don’t think I’ll be booking many more tickets for shows here which is a real shame.
Why they have to change I don’t know as it’s a lovely venue and the staff are lovely but I probably won’t be visiting as much as I have in the past

The Prince of Wales Theatre is one of my favorite places to visit in Cannock. I feel it's important to support our local attractions, so we don't lose them.
The staff are amazing.
That atmosphere is fabulous.
However, I walked out from RAF and Ready after 30 mins.
The homophobic language used was disgraceful! all aimed at one cast member to bully him and humiliate him! within the show's script!
The use of the names OMO, QUEER and PONCE aimed at him in a derogatory way was grossly offensive! It made me sad that after equal rights the righter felt this was acceptable! and appropriate!

Absolutely brilliant show that my two grandchildren loved.
The theatre staff were brilliant and helpful with my disability and directed us to the lift.
All in all, I would recommend this little theatre.

I'm a stranger to Cannock but I'm visiting the theatre on 12th October for a 7.30 pm show. Please advise where I could park (preferably for free).

Hi, there is a car park across the road from the theatre which is free after 630pm, if it is a daytime show then Morrisons is also in walking distance although the car park rates are quite reasonable with £1.20 for 2 hours

Which seats are the best....is the stage high (so being too near wouldn't be good) 🤔

Row A-L are all flat seats. If you go near the front then you are looking up at the stage slightly.
Row M onwards is tiered seating & each row goes up a step at a time.

The theatre is situated a short walk from there on the one way system around the town centre by st Luke’s church. If you ring the box office during opening hours or pop in you can get the what’s on brochure for the season..

I would say that his depends on how far and at what pace the questioner can walk.Personally it would take me around 15 minutes and i would say this would be termed as slightly uphill walking

Beecroft road car park is the closest and free of an evening.
Entrance is opposite the council offices/hospital so you can follow street signs to to it.
Park the bottom end nearest the main road & then it is just 2 pedestrian crossings & a short walk to theatre entrance.
