A well looked after castle grounds. Lovely views of the River Teifi that winds around the site. Good information boards about the myth about the last dragon and a beautiful metal sculpture over the entrance to the site.

Nice little castle, with impressive views and good information boards near entrance. Well worth a visit especially for castle aficionados. Very interesting wooden chair. Free entry.

Lovely castle lots of information at the interesting gate. A nice walk along the river. The path has a park area and benches on route.
You can take dogs ,children and your Mum in.
And its Free .
You can spend as little as 20 minutes here or several hours. Very calming.

Situated by the river so a lovely location and as not that big on a nice day you could go for a walk afterwards. Signs at the entrance giving you a bit of history.

A lovely walk by the river around the site of the castle is a must - also take in the views of the surrounding countryside from the castle ruins

A nice place to visit. Lots of rich history detailed and explained around the site. The ruins are magnificent - just a shame the wooden dragon has been vandalised.

An interesting site with some history of the castle and the legend of the dragons. It only takes a few minutes to see the castle ruins but there is also a walk alongside the river making it an enjoyable area to spend a bit of time, have a walk, take a picnic etc. Excellent that access is completely free.

I was passing through so decided to stop for a bite to eat and a wander round the castle. The ruins are in a lovely spot by the river and it would be great to have a picnic here. Lots of interesting stories and history to learn about the site too.

As a fan of historic castles and locations, Newcastle Emlyn was an interesting site to visit. I had no real interest in walking around the outer ward but the ruins themselves are fairly interesting. The only drawback being very little information on the site.
Parking is £1.20 for 4 hours (at the time of writing) which is more than fair.
