We read a lot of books from our library at home, but this library has some brand new great selections especially in the non-fiction section. The director is really on the ball with her selections here!

Stopped by the now Staunton Public Library. I went to elementary school at this location. The library is very nice and was busy. Had a children's area on a lower level.

I have used this Library for more than twelve years. It is well stocked and the staff is very helpful and competent. Research is a critical element in my teaching. The research librarians have never failed me. The building, a repurposed school, is attractive and easily usable facility. The interior is being updated and some sections are being moved around and should result in an even more user friendly Library. Don't fail to take advantage of this fine community treasure

Nice library with books, DVDs, music, magazines, and more. Plenty of parking. Basketball court nearby for kids who want to shoot hoops (bring your own 🏀) while parents are browsing. Lots of nearby parking. Helpful and friendly staff. Community room for group events. Useful online card catalog with the ability to search and to place holds on books and email reminders when books are due. Part of the Valley Libraries network so books can be borrowed from and returned to other locations.

I grew up going to the Augusta County Library in Fishersville. But when I finally went to the the Staunton Library as an adult, it is GORGEOUS inside and out. I love their selections and atmosphere. I would rate this much higher than the ACL because of the way it looks and the obivious history it has. If they still have them, the next time you go, check out the sidewalk and the bricks. Thank me later.

This community Library is really full of materials on all of its 3 floors....lots of books, periodicals, and huge children's section in the basement. Special reading events for pre-schoolers and a welcoming staff make this a favorite place for our grandchidren to visit regularly. What was once a school building continues to help the next generation. Many community group functions and some lunchtime meal and music events are also held here....it's a ver good community asset that deserves support. Get a calendar at any Librarian's Desk or at check-out and see what is offered at this community gem....then join and/or donate as a patron or volunteer here. You will be welcomed and appreciated and so will your grandchildren learn to love books, too!!

The Staunton Public Library has a good genealogy section. I rate it higher than the Augusta County Library.

You know you use the library a lot when the staff doesn't even ask your name anymore when you go in to pick up your books on hold. :) A nice variety of books and movies. The staff is always willing to help and very knowledge. They work hard to keep the place clean and tidy. Love the new feature of checking your own books out. The building is an old school that has been beautifully restored. We can spend hours here. A lot of people use it as a meeting place to get tutoring help or to study. Quiet atmosphere without being insanely strict.

Staff is excellent, access to books excellent, and now a card holder can access movies and shows online through their system. One couldn't ask for more.

I stopped into the Staunton Public Library because I had time between concerts. It's a real treasure: it's clean, well stocked with books, computers, and helpful folks, and there's plenty of parking. Well done and it will make you look at your own local public library and think, "Staunton does it right."
