Had spent the night at the Inn and been walking around town. It was a bit disappointing to see the closed sign so we kept walking to see the store next door and lucky us the shopkeeper was walking in the back so we got to go in. Thus best call maybe to be sure they are open if you are going to drive any distance.
We had done the Dirt Road Wine thing so we focused on just chocolate today. However, they were low on stock and thus the web site shopping we had done ahead of time was a waste and we just had to take what was in stock. They are ok, maybe trendy and a bit unusual but I think I like Neuhaus. Woman was very nice.

I expected a stocked store and wanted to be a kid in a candy shop. We went in on a Monday, which I get isn't a big tourist day, but the store is open on Mondays. We walk in around 1pm and the very nice store clerk welcome us, but says oh we are out of luck being here on a low inventory day. There was probably 1/8 the selection of chocolates and that's it. I wanted to get a big box for a thank you for my Mother in Law for watching the kid while my husband and I were away. But ended up just getting 4 pieces because the stuff lefts was really random not really chocolate (like blueberry hazelnut, etc). I am sure they were delicious, just weird to me to have store hours and no inventory.

This is one of three separate wine tasting locations owned by the Little Washington Winery, and this one actually doesn't focus on locally-grown wines. Instead, this downtown location pairs a variety of wines with truffles in a unique tasting experience. When we were there, we were the only customers and we appreciated the care for everyone's safety exhibited by the staff who assisted us. The experience included a flight of four wines paired with four truffles. Our "tour guide" walked us through each one, and the pairings really did add to the experience of the wine and the chocolate. All four wines - two whites and two reds - were delicious and the truffles were special as well. We left with two bottles of wine and five truffles and the wish we could come back often.

Delicious and beautiful chocolates. Was surprised by the flavors and workmanship of their 'chocolates' from lavender honey to limoncello - just gorgeous. The setting? So-so - could be so much nicer with a little effort. Considering the lack of things to do in Washington, VA, this place is a welcome addition.

We both did a wine and chocolate pairing. (4 of each) and bought 6 handmade and hand-painted chocolates. The cost was over $50. A fun experience and we did enjoy all the wines and all the chocolates, but the cost seemed more "big city" than rural VA mountains.

My husband and I stopped by after having lunch on our way to a vineyard. Cute shop. We did the wine/truffles pairing. The truffles are so beautiful to look at and so delicious. The wines flavors were definitely brought out with the paired truffle. We brought a box of hand picked truffles home. Worth a stop in.

This is a cute place with chocolates that are as beautiful as they are delicious. No problem there. But the truffle and wine pairing? $20 per person for 3 truffles and 3 small wine pourings, an experience that lasted MAYBE 10-15 min.? I don’t think so. We walked out annoyed that the experience seemed to be over just after it began. I think perhaps it would be better if they made the tasting last longer, so you would at least feel you got some value for your money. By all means, buy the truffles. I would not recommend the wine & truffle pairing.

This is a really cute store in Washington, Virginia. I tried the wine and chocolate pairing which was good but I think I enjoyed the chocolates more. The selection of chocolate truffles are amazing. And they are beautiful to look at. Everything is a little pricey but given the quality, it’s worth it! Not only is this a fun stop in a small town but if you like chocolate this is a do not miss kind of place.
