Great place to zipline. Great staff and good area for ziplining. Located near the Virginia Creeper Trail.

We visited after riding the Creeper trail. Very friendly folks who showed you what to do while zipping! My son and I had never done this before but we both had a great time. Hope to do it again in the fall when leaves are changing color. A must do if in the area

We took family members to the Creeper Trail Zipline twice this month. Grandkids and Niece's children. Everyone, including us who have been multiple times. LOVED the ziplines! The staff is SO nice, helpful, and concerned for every "fliers" safety. None of our guests had ever been ziplining and just loved the experience. I've been to other ziplines in the Boone, NC area that have many more lines, but by the time the experience is over, I'm tired and wishing there had been fewer lines (especially with the price you pay at other places!). Creeper Trail Zipline has 4 lines - a perfect amount for the first timers. It's also VERY wallet friendly. Go fly with Creeper Trail Ziplines - you'll really like it.

We came across the Creeper Trail Zipline while planning a bike ride on the Virginia Creeper Trail. At $25 bucks it seemed like a no-brainer. It's within sight of Whitetop Station, and the bike shuttles will drop you off there before your ride.
It is an easy, four line run, great for first timers. The staff was friendly and thorough in explaining the necessary skills. Our nine-year old was brave until she got to the first run, but the staff and another customer talked her into stepping off the tower. Once she did it, she was hooked!
They have an excellent Facebook page that they keep updated with pics of each day's riders. Being able to see the range of people who do it (heights, weights, ages etc) was a comfort in deciding to give it a go.
If you're visiting the Virginia Creeper Trail, consider doing the zipline. You'll be glad you did.

This zip line is extremely reasonable and managed well. The two guides did a nice job of explaining the process and helping us feel at ease on our first experience at zip lining.
After climbing a significant number of wooden steps, there are four zip lines arranged in an easy-to-access manner from top to bottom on the hill.
Immediately after departing the Whitetop station where the shuttles drop off bikes and riders, follow paved road 726 to the right about 1/4 mile to the entrance of the zip line gravel parking area. Zip line is located across the road from a church.

Our family had very little ziplining experience and this was just fine for them. The only thing we have done prior was a very short line not high off the ground. Our 13 yr old daughter was a little nervous at first but she loved it. Two instructors take you up. They give you a brief instructional on the equipment and how to hold onto the line before you actually zipline. One instructor goes ahead of you and the other stays back to get hook you up and off you go. It was a lot of fun! Friendly nice staff.

Before embarking on our bike trip downhill to Damascus, we thought we'd try out the Creeper Trail Zipline. Only one of us had been on a zipline before so there were a few anxious moments before the first leg of the 4 ziplines.
There was a brief orientation on the equipment before climbing the stairs to the first take off platform. Once we made it to the first stage, one guide demonstrated the basics on ziplining. He then took off. When he landed, a second guide hooked us up one at a time and then we got to take off.
The first stage was the short and easy. Each segment got a little more exciting. The 4th stage was a real blast, longer and faster than the others.
This course was a lot of fun for beginners and (slightly) experienced zipliners.
We highly recommend trying this before you ride down the VA Creeper Trail back to Damascus.

Now there's more to do than just ride your bike down the Virginia Creeper Trail! When starting or ending in Whitetop, check out the NEW Creeper Trail Zipline! This is a wonderful and exciting addition to the Creeper Trail area! The Zipline park was designed with safety and fun in mind. The park is co-owned and designed by Chuck who was the Training Director at one of the larger ziplines in the Boone, NC area. All of the staff are well trained, courteous, and encourage participants to have a great time "flying" with them! The current course consists of four lines with the last being the longest and fastest. My family has now been with two different sets of visitors (our youngest son and our two eldest Grand-children) and rode the lines twice during each visit. Don't think you can't do it! Push yourself, sit down in your sling, and simply slide off into the beautiful VA skyways! An AFFORDABLE MUST for Creeper Trail riders.

Will I be scared?? I am 61 in good condition
If you're in good physical health you will be fine. If the zip line is anything like WV you use your stomach muscles a lot. Otherwise there could be walking and standing involved. They'll ask about heart conditions and whether anyone is expecting a child but that's usually all that's asked.
