Hi Christina! Bay Country Kayaking doesn't have a brick and motor shop, so it truly depends on where you're looking to vacation and which kayak tour you'd like to enjoy. Most of our tours are on the Middle Peninsula, but we have a Williamsburg location and tours on the Eastern Shore of Virginia. We have a discount bundle with the Hampton Inn in Gloucester (Middle Peninsula), see our website for more info. If you book a kayak tour you receive the corporate discount there (must call to make your reservation with the hotel), which saves about $40/night on accommodations. There are so very many hotels, BnBs, etc. in coastal VA and the Williamsburg options. I hope that this helps, thank you for your interest!

Hi 'Foodie' Unfortunately we are closed for the winter season, please forgive the tardy reply! Only the New Point Comfort and sometimes the Big Island tours offer an opportunity to really wade/swim. This is done with your life jackets worn. So, yes! When it's warm enough and if you paddle to one of those locations there will be time to take a break on a sandy beach and swim a bit. Good morning! Usually we are happy for you to bring along a small dog. That said, we have to make sure that it is okay with other participating paddlers - which it has always been in the past. You also must keep your pet on a leash and clean up after your pet, as we're typically in sensitive coastal ecosystems and don't want to disturb or harm the wildlife (birds, etc.) or leave any pollution.
